Week 2 post op: What are your favorite purée foods?

Eggface ricotta bake was heaven right out of the gate. I ate a lot of turkey chili from a local deli.
While I admit that pureed foods aren't the best, after lots of clear liquids, I am very grateful for a variety of tastes.
I made some lemon rosemary chicken breast, which can be baked, but I made in the crockpot, and pureed that with some extra chicken broth. It is divine! Just plain chicken can be too dry, so be sure to add some herbs and lemon juice for taste interest.
I also made salmon and tilapia with lemon and spices, then pureed them with vegetable broth. Lovely!
I think the moral to the story is that for me, food needs to have more than one taste and lemon and spices help that. Go easy on the pepper, but herbs are good!
I also pureed some spinach and asparagus that are tasting good. For some reason green beans, not as much.
I've also been enjoying scrambled eggs, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I'm allowed to have a limited amount of pureed peaches, mangos and applesauce, but not everyone is, so go by your surgeon's guidelines on that one.
After way too many protein shakes and Jello cups, this feels like a great variety of things to eat.

The ricotta bake, which can be made in great variation, along with yogurt was my go to. Also, fat free sugar free cream cheeses which I added to things to make things tasty. Puréed lentils were good to me too. At the beginning of your purée phase everything will be delicious, it's once you are towards the end that it's hard not to want the "hard stuff"!

You puree the ingredients, add sauce and cheese on top and bake. Probably not a big deal, but it was the first semi solid food after surgery, so I was cautious. My NUT wouldn't let me eat cottage cheese without pureeing, so I didn't want to mess around.
