Good morning!! Really enjoying this weekend. Maybe its the warm weather, but I feel very motivated and full of energy. I haven't felt this way since before surgery. Maybe I'm finally getting my groove back. Plenty of planning, prepping, cooking, cleaning, organizing and purging happening today.

QOTD - I used to have work dreams/nightmares all the time. When I started the job I'm at 9 years ago, I made myself a promise that I would not take my work or work troubles home with me. Although I am allowed to work from home on special projects and receive work emails on my personal phone, I said no. I'd rather stay late at work if I need to. Home has to be a work free zone for me and bonus -I don't have work dreams anymore.

3+ months since surgery

b-venti triple shot latte w/splenda

b2- bacon, egg

l-sharp cheddar, almonds

Happy Sunday!!

d- carnitas salad w/cilantro lime dressing

v/l - good

e- park with the pups

I had a bad food day yesterday, too. Well - only one thing was bad - frozen yogurt. But my usual 1500 kcal average was up close to 1800. Crap. It was between going out to dinner and that damn yogurt. But.....one day is just a temporary lapse. If I get back to it today, I should be just fine. And I'll be staying at my stepmother's house tonight, where there's no frozen yogurt!

QOTD: after massively burning out on a job several years ago, and not being able to leave it at the time because I was in too much debt to take a cut in salary, I promised myself two things - I'd work my way out of debt and NEVER let it get to that point again, and I'd keep my personal and professional lives completely separate. I have done both. I only have one credit card now and pay the balance in full every month, and the only debt I've had since then (mortgage, car, home equity loan) I pay off as quickly as possible (I paid off my house about five years ago). I will NEVER be in a position again where I can't leave a job that I'm miserable in!!! So anyway, no, I don't take work home. I give it my all while I'm on the clock, but then I gladly leave it behind at the end of the day.

21 months out:

B: Greek yogurt, raspberries, 1 T Kashi Crunch granola

S: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: leftover fish taco, orange

D: going out with my stepmother, so not sure - something safe for sure....

probably another Greek yogurt later

Congrats to you for turning around your financial situation, that's a really challenging thing to do. Financial independence has always been a big deal for me and my current unemployment has made that very difficult. The only reason I'm surviving now is because of my previous planning and saving but obviously that's at the expense of some long term plans and it will be a priority to regain that comfort level asap when I start back to work.
