Happy 1st day of your new job! I hope it's a great day for you!!
Morning!
im not sure where the rest of my post went yesterday... wierd. I'm still at my parents, spent a part of yesterday with my sister going through seeds and planning for this years garden. It is minus 28C this morning, hard to believe spring is around the corner...
the meals have been protein forward, and there has been Brie. Not sure what the plan is for today though, but I think we're just going to have eggs and leftovers for brunch, then I'll headcback to the city. We might go see the new King Kong movie!
qotd: it's a bit different because I was self employed, but during that time, I had absolutely no boundaries. It's all I did. The only social life I had was through events I attended. So none. I also totally neglected myself. Little wonder I gained like 60 pounds in 3-4 years! It was a lot of fun a lot of the time, but just not sustainable.
Menu:
Brnch:eggs and meat ?
S: protein shake
D: tbd on what hubby has planned.
have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning menu family! My girl made it home and I am so happy to have her here.. I am sure that today begins the swinging door but you know what I will take it!
QOTD: I work constantly my work emails come to my phone so I check them the minute they come in I constantly have my laptop on and check them. One of my duties is the back up IT person so when there is an issue with the network if the IT person can't be reached they call me so I am pretty much on duty 24/7/365 as well as my other duties. Most days I love my job but some days when it starts to get to me I just walk into my bosses office and say "hey I need a break and he knows I need to either take the afternoon off or go on quiet time for the rest of the day."
Today's food:
B: scrambled egg whites and 2 slices of bacon and after that who knows it all depends on who is in our house and when. Tonight we might take our daughter and her best friend to dinner to this local restaurant that is know for its Greek dishes and fish but in March to thank the locals they roll the prices and portions back to when they opened 30 years ago so that is always fun to go there but I also love to compare how the portions sizes have changed over the years as well.
Have a great Sunday friends stay warm because it is cold as heck here in Vermont BRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Good Morning JB and Menu Family!
QOTD: I'm "retired" now, but when I was manager of a picture framing shop I bent over backwards to make sure all the customer's pictures got framed, even if it meant working overtime. I remember Christmases (our busy season), when I would wor****il 2 am framing pictures and how I neglected getting Christmas presents ready for my own daughter. One year I had worked so hard framing pictures and then stayed up all night wrapping my daughter's presents that I fell asleep Christmas morning while she was opening her presents and my poor little girl had to sit there under the Christmas tree opening her presents all alone while I slept in my recliner chair. I felt so bad about it that the next year I limited the number of Christmas framing orders we took and made sure I could get them all done in a reasonable time frame.
B: bacon & spinach egg fritatta
L: lettuce, h.b. egg, bacon, cheese, low cal dressing
D: chili cheese dog
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a great day everyone!

I will also do another 1 mile in a bit when I walk up to church and another mile home. Post op 4 years 5 months and weight at 117.6 today. Here's the menu B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz Canadian bacon and cheese 1/2 c sliced tomatoes D 31/2 oz salmon burger 1/2 c Tuscan veggie blend S Quest cookies and cream bar. Have a great day full of intentional choices that lead you one step closer to your goals!
Good morning menu buddies!
It's actually snowing here this morning - but we're not supposed to get much and since it's going up to the upper 40s it won't stick around. It's certainly pretty to watch the flakes fall though! We didn't do much yesterday, enjoyed lazing about the house and I read a bunch. I know Monday and Tuesday will be busy with cleaning the house and prepping for surgery day on Wednesday!
QOTD: Since I work at home I'm very careful about making sure there's a dividing line between work/not-work. Before my son was born I telecommuted, and initially my home office was also my work office....and I hated it. It felt like I never really escaped that space....so when we bought our house I made sure that I had two separate office spaces. Now I have a studio downstairs where I work and then we have a game room upstairs where we spend most of our downtime. I'm the type of person where I always feel like there's something I could be doing so it's very important to me to separate from that!
Menu:
B: Protein shake, decaf coffee w/SF creamer and a benefiber chaser
S: grape tomatoes & skim mozarella w/greek seasoning
L: Leftover chicken, some sort of veggie
S: TBD
D: TBD
Have a great Sunday!
