Good morning Passionate, Peppy, Pleasant, Pouch Playmates! What's up? We are 1/2 way through the weekend, already (well, less really since we lost an hour)! I can't complain, I would have wasted the hour, anyway. It is amazing how stressed I can be during the wok week just wishing for an extra hour or two every day, and on the weekends, I can just laze around with nothing at all to do. I have a ton of work things that I could do, but in this job (for the first time in my LIFE!) I really try to draw boundaries for work-life balance and avoid it when possible. It's surprising but it is okay! I never thought I would learn how to say no or not worry that I was being judged for not always taking on more. But as long as I do what I do, well... no judgement! This happens to be a weekend when I was strongly considering doing some to get my head above water, but now that I think we have snow days in our future, I've decided not to crack open the laptop. QOTD: Do you (or did you) bring work home? Do you have good work-life boundaries?

Full disclosure... I ate like a jerk yesterday. I ended up having two hotdogs (most of the bun torn away), 3/4 of a cinnamon roll AND 1/2 bag of popcorn. Plus I had leftover fried fish for dinner. That's all I ate for the day, but still--none of it was good. What am I doing!?!? Must stop. I know AMAW is the way to go, but I am not quite ready. I almost would prefer doing a day of shakes. Not for weight loss, but just as a brain reset. Ok... just made up my mind. I will do that today!

18 months post op / 119 lbs today (slightly above comfort level in maintenance)

Food: shakes!

Vitamins: Patches (D3, multi & Iron) Oral (2 additional ferrous iron)

Exercise: Yeah, in my pattern of SUCKING yesterday, I never did anything. Gym this morning! Promise!

I was out late last night, but the automatic timer on my outside lights realized the time change which got the dog up and crying to go out bright and early (4:30). I guess that will work to my advantage going to sleep tonight. I am leaving for NJ tomorrow afternoon - looks like there and here are still going to be slammed with snow.

QOTD: There was a time when I was a contractor working part-time when my work-life balance seemed off and I was checking email constantly. However, over the years as I have worked from home a lot, I have learned to have a strong boundary. I always work in a room out of the main area and "go to work" there. I try to have a pre-defined stop time and when I "leave work" that means I don't check email until I start again in the morning. Of course there are times when that doesn't work 100% like this weekend when a new system was going in. I worked much later than planned Friday and checked email multiple times Friday night and yesterday until the implementation was done. I was answering questions along the way on some defects that have to be fixed post-implementation, hopefully next week.

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese, English muffin and peanut butter

L: Brunch at restaurant DS works at to celebrate our birthdays together (his last week and mine coming this week). I'll try to mostly make good protein choices...

D: Some sort of protein (lots of pre-cooked, frozen choices in freezer now plus I went to Trader Joe's yesterday and got a couple of interesting things)

S: almonds

Marinara, turkey meatballs, chili-lime chicken burgers and rice cauliflower. Other than the marinara they are all things that people on OH have mentioned so I wanted to try them. The closest TD is 1/2 hour away in Hyannis so I don't go too often.

The closest one for me is 1/2 hour away in Hingham, now. I used to have one 5 minutes away when I lived in Acton. "Sad" as our president says.

Love all the things you picked! I need to have Grim put the Chili Lime burgers on the grill for me :)

It's two hours for me to get to a Trader Joe's and because of that I've never been there. My youngest who lives in Georgia has several close to him. So jealous!
