Good freezing cold Saturday morning to my Fantastic, Funny, Fearless, Foodies!! If you are somewhere warm, don't even tell me! I don't want to know... Our temps have dipped back down, and it feels like -10 this morning. I am contemplating whether this is a worthy excuse to skip the gym. It might be, except that we are going to get 22" on snow dumped on us Tuesday and Wednesday, so the odds of going to the gym then are not awesome... Maybe I will rally. Maybe.

Did anyone else hear me say "snow day" on Tuesday and Wednesday? I know I have said this before, but this is the best thing about being in education in the Northeast. I still get giddy every time the weather team says snow. The night before the storm, I wear my pajamas inside-out, sleep with a spoon under my pillow, put a white crayon in the freezer, and ice cubes on the porch. It's a winning combination! QOTD: Those are my snow day superstitions! Do you have any superstitions that are silly but you do anyway?

18 months Post Op / 120lbs today (grrr--stupid salt) / maintenance diet

B: Fit Frappe Coffee (x2)

S: Greek Yogurt with Berries & Chia Seeds

No totals because I don't know about dinner.

Exercise: Mmmm, as discussed... maybe going to the gym? If I do I will attempt a 4 mile run. If I stay home I will do some time on the recumbent bike and the elliptical machine.

They are predicting 22 inches! Yuck! I will be in Jersey City NJ on business. I hope it won't be as bad there (and clear enough by the time I fly back late Wednesday). I guess the wind here is going to make it feel sub-zero this weekend. Two weeks ago when everyone was saying Spring was here, I chuckled. My birthday is this week and it has ALWAYS snowed within 2 weeks of my birthday here in New England.

QOTD: I don't have snow day substitutions but would always enjoy staying in PJs as late as possible (sweats after that) and reading a good book all day. Now that everyone is WFH so much there is no such thing as a snow day even when the office is closed. I miss them!

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese, English muffin and peanut butter

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: out to dinner, so likely 1/2 of some appetizer

S: almonds

Are you flying into Logan? Boston is where they are predicting 22". Lower for the South Shore and Cape (like 16", maybe?). We "work from home" on snow days too, but I think it is SO MUCH BETTER to work in jammies and sip endless cups of coffee with no commute, than to slug in with all the nasty traffic. I need to get a work from home gig, permanently...

So true! I've been known to still be in my PJs at 3 on workdays at home. I'm flying out of Logan on Monday afternoon and returning Wednesday around 6:30 or so. Hopefully I'll miss it here (but will probably be slogging around it in NJ).

Good morning my menu Family. Other than it being colder than he!! out today I am going to have a great day today! I have decided that I am doing nothing for work this weekend other than check emails because they pop up on my phone. My daughters plane arrives in Albany at 5:25 and I am excited to see her even if it is freezing out. So after I finish this and one more cup of half caf coffee I am off to finish cleaning the house and get groceries in preparation of a week of all her friends stopping by empty our fridge and cupboards..

QOTD: I can't really think of any superstitions but I guess I do have a fear of breaking a mirror and having seven years of bad luck, seven years is a long time! I know my daughter does not wear socks that match because she says it is bad luck so I will through that one out as well because I think that one is funny.

MY food for the day:

B: hard boiled egg white 2 strips of bacon plus more coffee than usual because it is Saturday and I have gotten into the bad habit of doing this but I do use FF 1/2 & 1/2

L: a yogurt

D: I told my daughter she had to pick so we are going to this Italian restaurant which is really really good and cheap but OMG they give you a four course meal. They start you with crudites and bread, then your salad, then a minestrone soup that is delicious and then your main course. I will skip the bread eat everything else and bring my main course home for lunch next week...

Have a great day my friends I got to hop to it!

Good morning everyone.

I haven't posted in a couple of days and figured I should get back in the habit. I have been sleeping in and the hubby has been closing so I haven't been logging on early in the day. I start back to work Tuesday so i will be back to my normal routine which I need!

I ran for the first time since surgery yesterday, just a mile, but my oh my I could tell a huge difference. I would run 1-3 miles quite frequently before surgery but every step past 1/2 mile hurt and I just had to push through...I would know it wasn't going to get any worse or any better. I ran a mile yesterday (fairly quick for me) and didn't have a bit of pain! I felt so light running! I could have ran a lot further but I decided not to push but so hard the first time.

Menu:

Lots of fluids still. Protein shakes with fair life milk.

Awesome job with the run! Wow! Don't push too hard right now while you are healing though--take it easy and let your body recover. I was not cleared for running for 6 weeks...

Be careful! I'm surprised you are allowed to run this soon.
