How Can I eat so much, so quick at week 9?
Please post a sample daily menu. Carbs and sugar cause more cravings for carbs and sugar. Healthy fats, protein, and maybe some low-glycemic index veggies should be your only focus this early out. And water, lots of water. It's a myth that drinking before your meal affects anything. But drinking during and after certainly can.
And looking back at some of your older posts, I noticed they had you eating things like Creme of Wheat days after surgery. Any doctor or nut who tells you to eat Cream of Wheat days after surgery is ignoring current science and research for a successful post-bariatric surgery diet... I can only imagine what other kinds of crap they have told you is OK.

I am not a doctor, but I play one at work.
yes, Yes,and Yes to all of the above. You can do this. I was convinced after surgery I was one of the special snowflakes this surgery wasn't going to work for.
Follow the rules, one moment at time. You can do this!

Wow, you've had so much success, congratulations. I've got my rule book out and I'm reading it and making notes on what my basics are... I was swaying from the basics, that's pretty evident now.
Thank you for your post, it's always great to feel I'm not alone in thinking these crazy thoughts!

Whenever I say - "man, I'm hungry and I could eat something." I visualize a frying pan smacking me in the face like Wile E Coyote. I know it is something else. I'm using this time during the honeymoon to learn when I'm getting off food cues. I find that it is usually thirst or boredom. I get a drink or do something else for a few minutes and bam - I'm not "hungry" any longer. The best lesson I've realized post-surgery. Good Luck!

Thanks Alan, you're doing so awesome, congratulations!
I'm taking out my larges****er bottle and committing to drinking at least 2L a day. That should help.

Hello, Thanks for the offer, I remember reading something about there one on the 15 "Eating Well While Dining Out" I live in mississauga, so town town mid week is a hard one, but I think the benefit of a support group would be good now. They are a great team there, I had an excellent experience!
Good Luck!

As others have said head hunger sucks! Everyone has given you excellent advice and many of us have to figure what works to deal with deal staying on your plan. Dense proteins will help to keep you satisfied longer. Make the best of this time after surgery. Good luck with everything.

My doctor's advice early on was to eat until I was satisifed-NOT full. That helped change my whole perspective on eating.
Someone posted once, that if you are hungry and want a snack, ask yourself if you would eat protein. If you wouldn't, then you aren't really hungry. Focus on dense protein and give up the crackers and carbs.
