What's on your menu today (Photo Friday!) RNYers?
No pic because I didn't quite get to it today.
Going out after work to pickup groceries then to home depot to grab a few gardening things then back home.
Not sure quite what I', having for dinner yet.
So far I've had:
2 egg white/turkey/spinach omplet
ribs/leftover salad/bolthouse dressing
coffee
tea

(early) L - Subway 6" tuna with spinach, tomato, cheese on flat bread
AS - smoked almonds
D - Crack Chicken and broccoli
ES - string cheese
Subway was a mistake. I was meeting a friend for a late breakfast or early lunch and it was the Friday special. I need to stop thinking about saving a dollar when my health is at stake!
The first photo is of me and my best friend, Joy. This was taken in January... Joy works in Cardiac Rehab and she works out every day HARD to keep her trim figure, and she also eats very well. I joke that I'm friends with her BECAUSE she has to work so hard to stay thin... My roommate (I'm separated) is a 6'3" bean pole who eats like a teenage football player. Humph!
This second photo is of my sweet Mrs. Figg. She is 130lbs of ugly mastiff :) She's about nine years old and moves pretty slowly but since I only see her on Thursdays now, when she sees me she goes into a bouncy shuffle and "talks" to me "whoo whooooo whoooo"ing in joy. Nothing makes you feel loved quite like a dog

Good morning, TGIF!! Joining the gym today and I start on Monday. I am at the point where I don't care what anyone thinks of my size anymore, it's very liberating. I'm just doing my thing and that's all that matters.

This is a pic is of me and my DS, Jesse after a hike. He is an amazing person - so smart, kind and has the biggest heart. I just love him to pieces.

Hi all - I've been going like an Energizer bunny lately and need to get back to staying accountable here daily - it's one of my main goals right now! I return to work Monday and am excited. I have all the tools I need, and amd looking foirward to learning more every day - I work as a Medical Assistant Float, so each new position I fill I learn and I LOVE that! Hubby is on disability right now too - and we work for the same company LOL They keep messing up his payments supplementing his State Disability Insurance payments and he may have to break out his angry voice today - he was a Marine so it can get scary! Maybe it'll be when I end up out of the house... hopefully!
Saw the surgeon's dietitician yesterday - very disappointed with a 12 pound loss in weeks 2-6 post op. Turns out doc's booklet was written very oddly and she wants me on at least one more protein shake a day. Dietitician says increasing one more protein shake/mix serving might/should get me losing better. I'm being 100% on plan - which is really frustrating when you see little losses like this. PLUS I actually gained 1.5 pounds over the last three days. I'm soooooo frustrated by it! Adding more protein and moving to phase 3 and protein foods at meals. Hubby did me a favor and hid the scale for a while.... just going to plug away.
B - cup fairlife skim milk with scoop chocolate splendor unjury
S - Decaf coffee with Syntrax Nectar Carmel Macchiato (thinking I don't need to mix it with coffee next time - it was STRONG!) for 23 grams of protein
L - 1.5 oz oven roasted turkey breast slices with 0.5 oz of avocado and 0.5 oz cheese rolled up
S - either protein pudding or almond milk with scoop of chocolate unjury
D - will be at girl scout cookie sale so probably something simple/portable like a babybel cheese or two
S - light and fit yogurt if needed/wanted before bed
Sipping throughout day hitting minimum 64 oz!
Happy Happy Happy Friday evening menu friends... What a week this has been. I think I have been at work more than I have been home this week. Yesterday we received 24 laptops that we have not even began to think of working on! But the good news is my daughter comes home tomorrow for a week yeah! I am going to take a day off next week because I have my one year check up with my surgeon.
My food for the day and the week has been crazy but other than five peanut M & M's today I have done okay.
B: hard boiled egg white and 2 slices of bacon
L: 2 oz turkey and piece of cheese
D: 3 meatballs, cheese and sauce
So photo Friday in looking at these pictures I can not believe just how much I have changed in appearance and I really need to get together with my besties and take some new pictures! One picture is of my husband, my daughter and I in 2014 when she graduated from high school she was class Valedictorian and we were very proud of her achievement. The second picture is of me and my three best friends since second grade. We have been the best of friends since day one and have always been there for each other through it all. Next year three of us turn 50 and we are planning a trip together and can't wait. (Sorry if they are big I am still trying to figure out this picture thing)
