What's on your menu today (Photo Friday!) RNYers?

Personally when I've ever had to be on liquids I get a quart of just from the Chinese takeout place.... find it very satisfying... none of those cartoned broths are anything like real chicken soup... I consider Pacific Organic one of the better ones.

Drive by post today. The VP of Consulting and the Director of Drawback are in the office for meetings today, so I'm limited on how much time I can spend here on the internet.

I had a rough night again last night, my teenager really pissed me off. Long story, but I am really getting fed up with this lazy teenager business.

Photo Friday. My hubby is definitely my best friend, we've been friends for 11 years, together as a couple for 10, and married for 8. We do most everything together, socially, though I do occasionally go out and do girl things. But I do have another "BFF" that I've known since childhood. We don't see each other often, even though we only live 30 minutes apart. She is married and has a son and a full time job and a life, and obviously, you guys know how crazy my life is. We only see each other once or twice a year. We have been friends for 40 years. We met in 1977, when I moved 5 houses down the street from her. Our birthdays are 13 days apart (I'm older, ha). My mother still lives 5 houses from her mother. It's so strange, we may not see each other for 6 months, and don't always talk, but when we do see each other, it's always like it was before. Our friendship doesn't change, and I know that she'll always be there for me if I need to talk or need something, and she knows the same about me.

I don't have access to any photos of us together. That ***** isn't on facebook, or I'd probably see her and talk to her more often, but as much as I try, I can't talk her into joining that horrible website. Maybe she's the smart one, lol.

Anyway, here's some pics of me and my hubby and then a pic of my friend and her husband and son that I filched from her younger sisters facebook page (ever other person in her family is on the facebook, including her mother).

I have a fancy lunch with my bosses and our biggest client at a fancy Italian restaurant today. I have looked at the menu an plan on getting a caprese salad and the baked white fish. No idea on calories, but I'm not too concerned about it today. The company is paying, so I'm going to get some yummy food!

I love seeing every ones pictures on Friday. I'm not a big picture taker, but I will look and see if I can find any pics of my best friends, and will edit to add them later.

Day 12 Pre-op Diet - almost there! I have lost 10.6 pounds since I started my pre-op diet. We are supposed to get 3 - 8 inches of snow over the weekend. My dad is driving me the 65 miles to the town I am having surgery in. I told him last night that if he thought wouldn't make it on Sunday that we needed to leave a day early. He assured me we would make it. I do not want to repeat this two week diet.

Menu will be the same as it has been for the last 11 days.

2 protein shakes

2 -4 cups low sodium broth

2 - 3 sugar free Jelly-o cups

4- 6 ounces fish

2 cups vegetable

The first pic is my best friend I met in 2001 when I moved to South Dakota, and her pet goat. She got the goat as a companion for her aged blind horse.

The second picture is one I have posted before of my fur babies.

I've been trying (HARD) to convince Grim that a pet goat is exactly what we need in our lives. Now I know the trick is to get a blind horse first! Thanks for the tip!

She loves her goat 'Miss May' but she is a terror. She is into everything all the time. She was a bottle goat so she was small when she got her and she would hold her in her lap. Miss May is much bigger now and still thinks she needs to sit in her lap. It is pretty cute actually.

I told you, we can get a baby lamb this fall, and she'll be ready to be the guest of honor at Easter dinner next spring.

My friend's husband tells her he is gonna cook her goat quite often. He hates that goat but ever since she brought it home Miss May has loved him. When she lets her out of her pen to run around she makes a bee line right for him and follows him all over the yard...drives him nuts...lol

Busy day today for me! Ready to get on with the weekend! I think it's suposed to start raining later, and tomorrow is basically going to be a washout... we're thinking about going to the RV show for some indoor entertainment. Sunday my sister in law and her family are coming over to celebrate her birthday that was last month... don't get me started on this one... but I'll be the happy sister in law and put on a nice little show for her.

B2: leftover half of the breakfast burrito from yesterday (sans the tortilla)

L: No clue, as I'll be running around

D: Not sure again... not the way to go, but I have a busy evening. I will make good choices!

Pictures... I have many best friends... I think the older you get, the bestie list gets longer if you're lucky

This is my bestie since 8th grade... we also lived together with another friend for a few years in our twenties. Alas, she fell in love with a guy she met in a bar in London when she was doing a semester abroad, and ended up living in the UK. Her and her family came back this Christmas and I got Jacob to come with me. Blaine had to work... so this is us with 3 of our 5 kids. I don't get to see/talk to her like I used to, but when we're together, it's like no time has passed!

Some of my current besties... all three of us have had WLS now. Jacqueline, the lovely lady in the middle was our pioneer woman, and also my own personal nurse as I had my surgery in the hospital she works at, just a week or so after she got transferred from the Bariatric floor to Day surgery. She actually came in on her day off, and sat with me and got things all situated with the rest of the staff for me! I was one spoiled patient! Cindy had her surgery in October.
