Water aerobics help needed
Before surgery I loved water aerobics and lap swimming. I went 3-4 times per week and really looked forward to it. Due to the surgery itself, holidays, travel and a heavy work schedule from January to just this past week I've not been able to go. I went yesterday for the first time at a good 80lbs lighter. I couldn't stand it because I was freezing the entire time. It was upsetting because I was really looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. It's kept at around 86 degrees so I thought it'd be fine but I was so uncomfortable. Has anyone else had this issue and if so is there anything that has helped? Will I get used to it? It's just kind of heartbreaking because it's the only activity I've been able to enjoy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I just read an article on this recently. Try a brief warm up before hand. Swim laps or do light calisthenics, such as a combination of water kicks and jumping jacks, for five minutes. Wear a rubber swim cap; flexible, synthetic-rubber, neoprene swim vest; or Lycra swim top to stay warm.

Hope this helps!

This may sound ridiculous, but have you thought about wearing a wetsuit? When I lost weight 10+ years ago, we had a pool and it was always too cold for me to use. I bought and started wearing a wetsuit and it made a world of difference.
