Carb heavy meal

I am currently undergoing continuous glucose monitoring to (1) address my dumping issue; and (2) participate in a study being conducted at my hospital on Dumping Syndrome and RH. The Dr. running the study has asked me to eat a "big" carb heavy meal 2-3 hours after exercise, and then the same meal on a non-exercise day. She told me she needs me to "go crazy." Although I know it's going to make me sick, I'm willing to do it because I want answers that will help my condition, as well as her study. She told me that she gives the "go crazy" instruction to all her patients and many don't do it because of how they'll feel. My feeling is, if I'm not going to comply with the parameters of the study, why bother participating. My problem is I'm having a hard time picking a meal. Do I eat pasta??? A bagel?? French Fries??? Sweets, so I know for sure I'll dump? My question to you all is, if you were told to " go crazy" with a carb forward meal, what would you pick? I'm not looking for responses centered around "I would never do it," since like I said above, being I signed up for the study, I'm all in. Also, it really won't be a trigger for me, since it makes me so sick, so I'm not worried about that aspect. Thanks in advance . . .

And go . . .

My pick would be pasta. But, only because I LOVE pasta, and kind of miss it. Good Luck to you. Hope they can figure it all out for you.

I guess I would eat the foods that give you the most problems. You are going to be miserable no matter what, so you might as well go all in.

For me it would be something like doughnuts. Fried, sugary, and white flour...the triple threat.

I dump hard too. I guess knowing it's only a few times for a good cause helps. Keep us posted on the outcome. I would be so interested in what they find out.

Good luck. I don't envy you.

My vote would be for pasta as that definitely would fit the bill on carb overload. I would love to hear the results of this testing so please keep us posted! I hope you don't crash too hard or for two long. From my understanding this is more about carbs than simple sugars, correct?

Good luck!

Yes, her study tracks carbs and variations in blood glucose levels. My instructions were to eat a carb heavy meal. But, I have no specific instructions as to the type of carbs. So, I guess if I wanted to eat a dozen donuts, I could.

I think I'd eat what I like best and miss the most! I hope you get some really good information and help from participating in this study....
