I'm back. We had a wonderful time camping and have been gone since Friday night at two different state parks. We did have to remember winterize the camper again as starting tomorrow we will dip down below freezing and possibly have snow Saturday. But the fun this week was more than worth the 12 dollars we spent to buy more antifreeze. I hate daylight savings and think it should go. It messes with people'S schedules way too much. Post op 4 years 6 months and weight at 117.4 today. Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already this morning. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz Canadian bacon and cheese roll ups 1/2 c tomato slices D 31/2 oz meatballs with marinara sauce 1/2 c cauliflower steamed S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. It's good to be back and have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices that move you one step closer to your goal! You're worth it!

Kudos to you for volunteering. I am the director of our local pantry and I know we can always use help. Thanks!

Good morning everyone!

This week I've been feeling like I'm in one of those Family Circus cartoons following the dotted line in 15 different directions and not really getting anywhere. I've appreciated having the time off but at this point I'm craving normalcy and routine. The next few days I'll be trying to acquire some work friendly clothes because at this point I have exactly two work/interview appropriate outfits so I'll be raiding my sisters closet and making a trip out to Value Village this afternoon.

Over the past week we've had two meet ups with some friends that we hadn't seen in a few months and the reactions I've been getting have been great. In both cases everyone knew I had surgery so there were no whispers or awkward questions, just a casual positive comments and then right back to regular conversations. I did have one longer conversation with one of the women but it was discreet and she's a little over 300 lbs herself so I was fine with giving her more details as it's something she has considered for herself. Overall it kinda felt like the ideal scenario, it was great to have my efforts acknowledged but even better to just move on quickly.

QOTD I didn't even realize that was happening this weekend...

The protein in the morning seems to be working, or it's just a happy coincidence, but either way the scale has been quite favorable so I'll keep adding protein to my morning coffee for awhile longer.

B- coffee w/ 1/2 premier chocolate

L- chicken breast and guacamole

D- pork side ribs

S- skyr with 1/2 scoop protein powder, turkey slices

Totals 634 cal, 93g protein, 8g carbs

Have a great day everyone!

Value Village! This was my favorite store as a teenager. Do they still have them around? Where are you from?

I'm in Ontario, just outside Hamilton, and they are everywhere around here. I went to one for the first time a couple weeks ago and it's huge!! I never bothered before because I didn't expect I'd find anything that would fit.

I'm in Metro Detroit. Wonder if it's a regional thing.

A quick google search said they have 350 stores in Canada and the US but nothing more specific. I can tell you they are really popular here.
