Good morning everyone!

My daughter slept in until 8:30 this morning so I got to also! That is very late for us. She woke up saying "Mommy I slept a really long time, I slept at night and slept in the morning time"

QOTD: I plan on trying to still go and do a lot but finding entertainment that is not focused around food. So far we have went to the zoo, and a wrestling match. But I have a lot more ideas that we will be doing.

Menu: (day 10 post op)

Breakfast- I am having fair view milk plus chocolate truffle syntrax mix (36 g of protein right there) I like the bariatric pal kind better but I am out and waiting on a new shipment.

Snack- SF popsicle

Lunch- chicken broth

Snack- Fair life milk with SF chocolate syrup (13 g)

Dinner- Family is eating out for Grandmother's birthday. I have looked at the menu and they have oyster stew so I will order that and just eat the broth from it.

Snack- SF popsicle

And sipping all in between!

Very happy with these protein numbers since the last 2 days were at 41. Getting there slowly!

Now that I am getting my protein in my weight loss slowed to a crawl, but I was worried I was losing too fast when I wasn't getting hardly any protein in at all. Wi**** were a happy medium but I know it will work out in time.

The broth from the oyster stew may very well be the best thing you've ever tasted! When I ordered the hot and sour soup from our local Chinese place, I thought I was in heaven sipping on that broth!

Don't worry about the slow down... that scale will likely drive you crazy for months/years to come!! No one loses at the right rate, so don't feel alone.

So true! My weight loss slowed at 2 weeks out and didn't move for a week. A week ago, it happened again. I stressed so much the first time, but even with 7 days at the same weight, I didn't stress at all. I was very proud of myself. And proud that today I'm finally out of the 250s - 249.8 today!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Good Morning Menu family!

QOTD: I am enjoying going to walks with my dogs around our subdivision. Our subdivision has a large loop that I could barely mange to walk around when I was MO. My back would be killing me and so would my feet and knees and I would be all out of breath and panting. Now I love walking around the loop and am looking forward to walking around it twice or even more as the weather gets warmer. I am not out of breath and my joints don't ache like they used to! I tried walking around it a second time the other day with my MO dog, Blossom and she was already panting and as we went up the hill for our second round she was lagging behind and finally she just laid down in the middle of the road and refused to go any further. LOL! So I may be walking around it once with the dogs and the second time just by myself. Although Blossom really NEEDS the exercise.

B: bacon & spinach egg frittata

L: Going out to a ladies luncheon so I'm not sure what is on the menu, but I'll choose protein.

D: Need to go grocery shopping so also not sure about dinner.

S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt

S: roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese

Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision.

Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

Good morning. I'm in a two day meeting, so menu might be hard to predict. I do have backup food in case it's all bad for me - you never know when they might decide to order deep dish pizzas around here as a treat. The hazards of being in Chicago.

QOTD - I plan on getting to the Botanic Garden for a walk soon. I actually went to the mall this weekend for a walk with my wife. It was fun. I like not thinking about how to keep the walk short any longer.

B - Either some eggs or my backup food greek yogurt

L - I'll have to see what they have, but I brought some spicy thai chicken leftover from dinner as a backup

D - The last of the thai food from Sunday - Thai chicken salad

S - Either a quest bar or syntrax shake - I have both in my bag. I also have some Ostrim Jerkee too

I Lou Malnati's deep dish sausage pizza... the WHOLE bottom is NOTHING but one big sausage patty!!!!!

Ahem... oops, sorry. Stay away from that pizza!!!

I lived in Chicago for 4 years, up by Wrigleyville... I gained 40 pounds, I believe, in the first year. Awful.

Morning DZ! I hate when I forget my phone and will go back for it if I am able. I feel lost without it.

I had a crazy morning. It was one of those mornings that you wonder why you even got out of bed. So, I slept through my alarm and was running late. My youngest didn't get to bed until 10pm (my fault, I had stayed up watching an episode of My 600 Pound Life on demand and didn't make him go to bed until it was over) so I let him sleep. I was running around getting everything together and packed his clothes and stuff into a bag to take to my moms. I snagged him up, put his coat on him and was talking him to the car while he was sleeping. Well, my heal caught on the second from last step coming down the stairs and I twisted my ankle and while I didn't fall on my knees, I was able to crouch quickly and keep upright. I was carrying a 36lbs sleeping toddler and I managed to keep him up and safe, but my ankle is tweaked and my knees are a bit sore from the stress of going down so hard. Thank goodness my bones are so strong, right?

So that was just the beginning of my ****ty morning, because there is more. So, I took my pills this morning with just a splash of coffee, since I was running late. AND I didn't bring my coffee with me for the drive like I usually do. So, as I was driving, I started feeling the WORST HEARTBURN OF MY LIFE. I'm talking burning ache from my sternum to my esophagus. I had absolutely nothing to drink with me in the car, and the drive to my moms is about 25 minutes long, so I am dying driving there. I finally opened my lunch bag and grabbed a slice of deli turkey that I had packed for my snack this afternoon and ate it. It didn't help and probably made the pain worse. By the time I got to my moms I was writing in pain. I ran in and grabbed some water. My mom gave me a Zantac and 2 tums, but they did nothing at all. It's an hour and a half later and I'm just now feeling better. Uggghh, I don't know how anyone who deals with acid relux even functions, because that was the most miserable feeling ever.

DZQOTD: I'm so much more active now that I've lost weight. We go for walks and to the park. I am able to shop for as long as I want without getting tired. We have gone to the zoo, to the beach and are jsut so much more active now. My hubby and I are planning on going to Vegas for a long weekend in December, which I wouldn't have ever done, and we're hoping to do a vacation to Europe in 2018 when my oldest graduates High School.

19 Months since surgery

B: 1/2 an everything bagel with cream cheese and a large coffee with 1 cream and 1 splenda from Timmy's. I was trying to kick the acid. That didn't help either.

L: 3oz of fat free feta on romaine lettuce with olives, mild pepper rings and grape tomatoes. No dressing.

D: Shrimp with ****tail sauce

S: Light and Fit Greek yogurt and 2 oz of deli turkey (I ate 1 ounce in the car this morning)

totals:

Calories 854 Protein 96 Carbs 64 (damn half a bagel) Fat 23

So, my weight today was at 160.2 which is down a bit. Operation "no wine" is having a good impact on me. Today is day 8. I will say that last night was the hardest night since I gave it up. My little one was crabby and crying. Bugsy was going absolutely crazy and practically bouncing off of the walls and my hubby was out of town. My house was a complete mess and my mother in law showed up unannounced to see Kal and stayed for 45 minutes while I tried to keep the puppy from going ape **** and attacking her. I really, really wanted a glass of wine. Good thing I had purged it all out of my house, because I would have likely had one if there was some there.
