QOTD: I hate shopping. Yesterday I went to the thrift store and bought 10 pairs of capris and light-weight pants and 28 short sleeve, or sleeveless thin shirts for work. We don't have air conditioning. I am a picker. About 2 miles of walking and bending and on my tippy toes to get mechandise to place in totes for stores. Second careers are tough.

I work on the afternoon shift so I will only post 1x per week. I make my lunches & dinners on the weekend and portion individual meals. So, this week:

B: 2 eggs, (every other day, 1/2 piece of toast)

L & D: Stuffed peppers (thanks to someone who posted last week) and Stirfry with tofu.

Snacks:

Frozen yogurt ( I just put the containers of regular yogurt in the freezer. It takes time to eat them, so it helps with snacking.

Protein shakes in my coffee and a protein shake at work for second break.

Summer sausage w/cream cheese

Have a great week. It is great to see everyone back. I missed you all.

Sick as a dog last week, just getting my head above water so back, but Late post today, had PT and had to get to work early..

I shop it all, bargains, coupons...I watch the sales and when I am in the mood for browsing will browse Macy's, Kohls or Old Navy clearance. 2 stores I shop on now that I never did before are Gap Outlet- I can get some amazing deals there when they have sales(esp. Holiday weekends) and there is always an extra 15% internet coupon on top of that....and NY and CO. Sales Lady yelled at me one time- Don't ever come in here without a coupon.... she gave it to me anyway...LOL.

B: 3oz chicken, mayo, 1/2 tumaro low carb tortilla. Coffee Latte as usual.

L: egg beater omelet with bacon/cheese

S; FitJoy Bar

D: Chicken soup- may throw some red lentils in- expanding my menu.

S: Choclate chai latte

EX: PT

Hi Folks!!

So today I decided that I need to go back to what I know was working for me. After my DexaScan the physiologist encouraged me to up my protein to >100g/day. I tried doing so by adding a 5th meal, which netted my calories at about 1100-1300. (Prior to I was at or below 1000cal/day.) So my weight has been going nothing but up with this routine-- I'm now 4#' above my comfort zone- so I'm ditching it. Going to 900/calories a day and 85g protein daily and 4 meals.

QOTD: My shopping style is never ever pay full price.

197.4 today, 22 months out

M1: 3/4c turkey sausage crumbles, 1/2 c. egg beater

M2: 3Oz ham/turkey/cheese lunch meat roll out, 1 oz cashews

M3: Roasted Chicken leg/wing, 3oz mashed sweet potato

M4: More roast Chicken (4oz) & a greek yogurt.

Good afternoon everyone!

I had my 3 month follow up appointments this morning with the nurse, dietitian and doctor. Overall everything is going really well but there are a few changes I need to make with my vitamins. They want me to decrease my vitamin D from 5000 UI to 2-3000 UI per day and add 5000 UI of vitamin A. I will also be following up with the clinic I got my CPAP from because I think an adjustment needs to be made in the pressure. Other than that all is good and I'll have follow up blood work in May to see how the vitamin changes are going.

The rest of today is interview prep time, and I'm expecting the nerves to ramp up any minute now, but I can't stop thinking about how much more confident I feel going into this 100+ lbs lighter than I was when I first lost my job. It's pretty emotional actually to not worry what someone might think of you at first glance based on size alone. I've still got a long way to go but I already feel myself being viewed differently and that was a big concern for me when I first became unemployed. It was scary. Mind you it's still scary but for different reasons. I'm nervous excited and so far more excitement than nerves.

The 1/2 shake in the morning seemed to work ok yesterday so I did it again today. The fruity flavours are much easier for me to drink in the morning than chocolate or vanilla.

B- coffee w/sf hazelnut, 1/2 protein shake

L- turkey slices and tzatziki

D- pork tenderloin, zuchini and tomatoes

S- 1/2 protein shake, skyr yogurt with protein powder and PB2

totals 515 cal, 84g protein, 18g carbs

Have a great day!

Christine
