Good morning all!

Currently on day 3 post op and man this recovery period is no joke... the gas is unbearable!

QOTD: I have yet to lose that much weight I had lost 16 pounds during my preop diet and haven't weighed myself since the day of surgery. It's amazing how flat my tummy had gotten. The bloat was gone and it was bizarre.

Anyways, today is the day in which I was given the okay to go to full liquids also yogurt, creamed soups, cream of wheat, unsweetened applesauce etc. man it was bizarre how full I got eating my cream of wheat for breakfast. I may have only had 2 out of the 3 tablespoons I was told to put into the bowl. (I'll post a picture)

So excited to add some variety into my meals!

B: 2 tablespoons of cream of wheat.

S: unsweetened applesauce

L: broth

s: 2 tablespoons of yogurt

d: Powerade zero.

Throughout the day I will be sipping on 1/2 to 1 protein shake as per doctors orders, also lots of water, and Powerade to get my 32 ounces of fluids in

Hoping my belly is okay today. Will adjust accordingly. So happy with what is happening right now.

Be sure not to allow the cream of wheat to become a regular part of your diet. I did use it in the full liquids stage to just give myself variety-- but it's a carb, and not a good idea to eat Long term. I'm 22 months out and eat cream of wheat once every few months. (I used to LOVE it and would often eat it for dinner.)

I'm not a huge fan of it never really have been. But I was told to eat it and that's what I did. Thanks though. It's just good to be eating something.

They'll suggest you eat a lot of things that aren't the best idea, just keep that in mind.

I was told that it would be good when progressing to foods, but when I can eat more variety to eliminate it. I plan on doing so asap. It was entirely too much food and hope to find something that taste better and makes me want it as well.

Thank you for this! I have felt like crap these last few days. I'm up and walking but the pain won't go away. I thought I was the odd one out because I've seen so many "I feel so much better" blah blah blah. Lol.

Didn't keep me from constantly walking tho .. it helped that my sweet tiny concerned cat walked every single step by my side .. that's love :)
