4 days post-op
Good morning folks! I'm 4 days post-op and mending well. I'm tolerating a variety of liquids, not having much pain and starting to get back to mild walking. The best news is that my glucose numbers are in a normal range and I haven't had any meds since before surgery! The only bad news is that my blood pressure, which was low in the hospital, is now high and it looks like I'm going to have to take my BP meds to keep it down at least for now. Maybe that will change though.
Well now I'm off on the new journey!

I needed to add back my BP meds in the hospital. Just started cutting doses a little over a month ago. You'll cut back as you lose weight. My doc has me monitor each morning. If I drop below 110/70 she wants me to call her. Good luck on your journey
Congratulations and welcome to the loser's bench!
Don't stress too much on the need for the BP meds right now, more than likely you will see that you can get off those after you recover and you've lost some weight. It is normal for most people to continue with their BP meds after surgery, at least for a little while.
Keep walking and stick to your post op diet. This is the time that counts the most!
