NSV... Importance of Measurements
I took my measurements in August, right before I had rny in September. I weighed 250 pounds... I had already lost 17 pounds to qualify for surgery. Next measurement was November, I had lost 27 inches and 35 pounds. Next measurement was today. I am down another 28 pounds and another 13.5 inches. That is a total of 58 pounds and 40.5 inches. Size 24 down to a 14 currently. And I hope to drop another 30 pounds at least.
Wow. Very glad I took measurements; if you are pre-op you should do that ;)

Great tip!! I wish that I had measured when I started. I did measure but I had been working on losing for my surgery for a while before I did my measurements. It is also a good idea to have it for when you are not losing weight as fast as you would like, you can see that you are losing inches - it helps me to not get discouraged.

And good advice. I have body measurements hidden away somewhere. I was so worried about someone seeing them, I hid them too well... hahaha they'll turn up eventually...
But my clinic takes waist measurements, so at least I have that!

I took my measurements the night before surgery and then again at 6 weeks. I used the baritastic app for my measurements. I've already lost 8 inches and to be honest it could be more. Apparently I gained an inch in my chest and my bras tell a different story. Haha.
