This is very interesting. I need to figure mine out! I'm a Leo but I don't feel like I have Leo characteristics.

Yeah, that's probably because your moon is in a different sign and so are your other planets.

Morning everyone!

well, my appointment yesterday went well. I made a separate post about it. But overall things are on track. I'm excited about what I've accomplished so far, but I'm already more focused on my next goal! Onward and downward!

qotd: I'm a libra and while I don't believe in it, its always freaked me out a bit because One of my sisters is a Taurus and our horoscopes are always on point personality wise. So weird!

im liking the update. Everything is cleaner looking. I haven't done much yet, but my first impression is that it's just a facelift? The only new feature I think I've noticed is that I have to tick off my notifications to get them to disappear. Not a fan of that, I think that will get annoying. Maybe it has a useful purpose I don't see yet.

Menu:

B:protein shake

L: leftover mooshu pork stir fry (thanks for all the ideas yesterday! Really helpful!)

D:I'm going to try a cabbage pancake recipe my cousin sent me. She said it's amazing. If it's good, I'll post it! And probably some pork tenderloin

S: skyr with bran buds, and I'm going to add a second one. Maybe 1oz cheese with nuts or veg?

Take care everyone!

I like that they put a mark-all-as-read button there for sure.....but I wish that clicking on the replies actually went to the actual spot where the reply was so you can respond to it....instead it goes to a blank page where you have to click on the thread anyways and scroll. But hey...baby steps!

Congrats on rocking your appointment!

I like the checking off button so I don't miss anything but I thought they were going to fix the replies not taking you to the actual reply. Oh well.

Good morning! It's actually warmer this morning than I expected in Massachusetts (around 50).

Astrology: Not really a believer, but there may be some validity: I am a Pisces and I love being in and near the water and all my favorite colors are water related. Some of the other supposed characteristics fit as well.

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese, English muffin and peanut butter

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Shelly's Caramel Apple Cottage Cheese Pancakes

S: protein chips, ?

Teena just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping the menu thread going! You are doing awesome!

As you all know I have stepped away from OH as my Mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer and I needed to concentrate all my time/efforts etc into her, helping her navigate the system and help her cope.

Yesterday was Mom's surgery. She did amazing, she is by far my Hero after seeing what she has to endure yesterday, I don't know if I have it in me to go through what she did. She is home resting, has pain but its being managed with meds. It was an extremely long day (up at 4am, at hospital at 7am and a series of 4 procedures before surgery happened at Noon). Some of the procedures were EXTREMELY painful. My Dad & Sister were there too at the hospital but they are squeamish and said to me "you do it." So I was with Mom for every procedure right up until they walked her into the OR. Mom had a lot of tears, a lot of anxiety attacks off & on all morning and I worked my ass off yesterday being strong for her because she didn't need to see me in tears as well! So next week I am going with her to the Oncologist to get the results from surgery (please say prayers for clear margins and that they got all the cancer!) and to find out when she starts radiation. I pretty much didn't eat yesterday due to stress & being so emotional, I lived on coffee and I don't recommend that as a post WLS person. I am so exhausted today and I feel like a walking Zombie, I am just drained.

Just wanted to take a moment and say Hi to you all, and THANK YOU ALL *****ached out to me and sent me PMs yesterday to wish Mom good luck, you guys are the best!

So I am still taking a break from doing the menu thread (Teena is doing an awesome job!! ), lots more appts to attend with Mom and she how she does with radiation. I will be back just not sure when as so much is going on in my personal life right now. I will try and post here & there when I can but do need someone to do the menu thread for an extended period as I am not sure when I will be back okay But I am always just a PM away if you have a question!

QOTD: I am a Gemini, I don't believe in astrology but what I have read about Gemini I sure do have a lot of the Gemini traits!

No menu, I am still running on adrenaline from yesterday and coffee ha ha I will pick up a tandoori wrap for lunch from the place across from work. Dinner is homemade "hamburger soup", its Mom's recipe, I made a huge pot and took half over yesterday for Mom & Dad for the next few days, who wants to cook after surgery right!

Keep up your protein, avoid carbs, drink your water, take your vitamins and Be Fabulous Menu Crew!

BIG HUGS

Daisy!

I missed your face! I've been thinking of you and your mom a lot. It's great that you can be there for her.

I am sending all good thoughts your way!

Friendly OH reminder about self care though! You need your own oxygen mask on first to be able to care for those around you ! Easier said than done, I know. But don't hesitate to lean on friends and extended family.

Big hugs.
