I have a cousin and a friend that have kids sleep issues (also on the spectrum). They both tried weighted blankets and said they worked wonders.

Ok everyone.....I am STRUGGLING
I got home from the hospital yesterday. I could not get my liquids in. Especially since I slept most of the afternoon.
Today I have gotten in 1 oz of premier protein, 1 oz of poweraide zero, and half of a SF popsicle. I can't tolerate plain water. I knew it would be hard to get liquids in but didn't realize it would be THIS hard. I am terrified I am going to get dehydrated.
I am going to attempt to crush my medicine and take that it a few minutes. But worried about that too. I want my tylenol but it is a huge ordeal just to try to get that cup of liquid down! Ugh pray for me please! Sorry to be so whinny ....I know this will pass.

Ugh sorry you're struggling! But I promise, this too shall pass!
Try different temperatures. The first few days I had to pretty much keep the premiere protein in the freezer to get it down, and it was an ounce at a time.
conversely, my water is pretty much room temp, and I can't really do plain. Try different flavours too, And different brands. And I literally pre poured 1 oz servings and lined them up to have one every half our or so.
i drank a lot of herbal teas too, still do.
Warning! Crushed Tylenol is the worst! have an ounce of another liquid as chaser handy!
hope you are up and walking, it really does help.

I have liquid tylenol but it is cherry flavored and nasty. And since I can't just throw the cup back like you would normally do to get it over with it is terrible. Not in much pain so I am going to avoid it if I can!
I am up and moving. Honestly I about have to walk around to get my oz of liquid down.

Try buying those sugar-free flavor drops to add to water. Immediately post-op, I had to have everyone on ice, but I know some people agreed more with room temp. Try flavors and temperatures. Don't get dehydrated. At this point, that's the most important. I know 60 oz of fluid a day sounds like a lot, but you will eventually get past this. Now I do 100 oz a day no problem.
