erm.... where'd everybody go?
Diluted Apple juice was what I was given in the hospital. Along with decaf tea and coffee. It's even in my nutrition book from the hospital. However this program also gives us a hard time for not eating enough carbs. I do think in the first few days though that the small amount of Apple juice will not hurt you.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Congrats on your surgery!!! If you can, do the broth. If you want something cold, ask for a sf popsicle or water. Either way, you will be getting fluids in, but can stay away from the sugar, even tho it is diluted. On the popsicles, you won't be able to eat a whole one, so have a cup handy and when it melts, drink that.
Keep us updated on how you are doing!!!

Congrats on a successful surgery and welcome to the loser's bench.
I was given caffeine free coffees and teas, jello, milk, protein powder, and sugar free "juice"...probably Crystal Lite, in orange flavor, usually. Also broth the first day, and cream soups, cottage cheese, and cream of wheat with sugar free jam the second day. I couldn't eat any of it except for the broth and a bit of the jello.
Good luck!

I think I finally got the backstory ( it's actually posted several places here but obviously been edited ... censored.. " moderated". Grr
a few vets got into a kitten fight which they often do . This time someone called someone brave who posted about achieving 11 months sober ( I personally can tell you that's a HUGE achievement to be totally respected) an admitted alcoholic which she absolutely may not be and certainly no one has the right to label her in any way .
Please let's not forget there's an entire culture/ religion that chooses not to drink - Islam . Certainly we can't call Muslims alcoholics because they choose to limit their drinking.
So other vets like Grim and Oxford Hag Kate flew to her defence and obviously someone was unfairly censored .
Thats all I know

I would venture to guess that it has to do with some that came from another site who stated they don't want drama, but like to slyly bully and make fun of others.
Now not all that came from that site have ill intentions, but it has been clear over the past few weeks that there are some who find humor in making fun of those who have been here for several years.
They will make nasty comments then turn around and edit their posts to make them look like the victim, then block the ones that call them out on it. Which I feel is pretty cowardly. Some of them also want to be forum nannies and tell others what they should and should not post. I bet they wouldn't last a hot minute with some of the vets on here in real life.
I say good for the vets for making a statement.
Of course newbies may end up getting very bad information because the vets are not around.
Believe it or not the posters from the other site all came from here and they're Great intelligent knowledgeable guys and gals .
actually it was intolerable over moderation on OH that made them give up on OH in the first place
Noone posting valuable content on the internet is going to put up with arbitrary and never ending censorship. We are well aware that without our daily contributions the site would barely exist and have almost no value .
We insist upon being treated with the respect we give and well deserve .
