hmmm....could be.  I noticed that post but didn't read it.  I figured it was just something OH posted occasionally as a reminder rather than in response to a specific individual or conversation.  Maybe I was wrong...

Lol! I didn't catch the discussion last week do you know why ? I too was " moderated " without warning nor being given any chance to modify my " offending " post ... nothing .

Also I was blocked from private messaging because I supposedly caused "spam" though I never messaged a single person. Regarding messaging I've been blocked since October for absolutely no reason -,I repeatedly emailed OH and got no reply relief . It's five months later ! I'm still blocked and I never messaged a single person outside of Oh management ( in October! ) this is neither reasonable nor fair .

Its very convenient for the over- moderator I think to silence members and so keep them from notifying and supporting each other ( and management) regarding the senseless moderation.

This is an interesting site . Most people who post here are computer- naive and so very vulnerable to things like "doxxing " which is cruelly and permanently exposing their " secret " anonymous internet selves to family coworkers bosses etc for nothing more than a laugh .

Yes it's very cruel ruthless bullying and the worst part is it never goes away .

A few of the people who post and lurk here are horrible creative and knowledgeable incredibly destructive internet trolls .

The vast majority ( forgive me for saying so ) of OH members are naive sincere people who need and deserve protection.

So the paid "moderators " are a necessary evil .

Still I felt like my post being deleted for no stated reason from the general board was offensive and stoopid. I sucked it up but it would have been a controversial popular post generating lots of replies and it was totally compliant with OH's terms of service

. So I do know how other members feel . This site is not only about protein drinks and insurance issues - the most interesting posts deal with improving life issues long after bariatric surgery.

Sometimes I think the moderators believe a pollyanna ish censoring attitude helps the site . Personally I think killing active and even slightly nasty debate kills the site - look how popular it used to be and how it limps along now . The very people getting moderated attract the most views.

I personally have suffered  ( endless ) over moderation three times in the last six months . Every time I seriously considered deactivating. I do notice that many longtime oft-posting vets have inexplicably disappeared . Why ? Moderation related ?

Why is there no explanation provided to the " moderated " one , no opportunity to self edit their so called " offensive" post ? Why is there no end date to the censorship ?

I felt like the baby that was being thrown out with its bath water ! I felt my many contributions were clearly not appreciated based on the lousy way I was being treated .

Well, that sucks. I can see that these vets just changed their name to Deactivated.  I hope they stick around.  So glad you have people sticking up for your rights.  In this climate it is so very important.  But have to admit to being more than a little sad at the idea that they may be gone.

I hope they come back. They are such an inspiration. I'm not happy right now, I miss my family.

I don't know but I am in hospital.  Just successfully rearranged my guts.  Hope the vets are back soon.  Just talked my husband into lifting my bag so I could get my computer out.

Starting clear liquids now.  2 medicine cups an hour.  They brought me broth and unsweet tea, but I know I can't have the caffine from the tea.  It will dehydrate me.  So then they offered apple juice diluted?? can I say sugar...but maybe at these small amounts it doesn't matter?

Apple juice, really? That's surprising right after surgery. When I was post-op starting mushy food they did approve sugar free applesauce. I'm glad to hear all went well! :)

Congrats on your surgery!!

Id pass on the juice, you don't need it. Stick to water.

Also, I grabbed a stack of those cups to bring home to help with pacing!

walk as much as you can, keep sipping!
