Qotd: I'm not sure if I have a dream job, but I'm happy that I've chosen to stay home with my grandsons while my daughters finish up school. I worked in mortgage for several years, and have an accounting degree, but I always wanted to be a stay at home mom. Now that I'm older I get to see what I was missing with 4 of the best little boys a grandma could ask for.

I have my menu mapped out, but can't remember the specifics. I'm taking hubby to the airport for his 2 week trip to D.C.  I'll come back and add the menu after morning traffic let's me get home! (Lunch changed, passed Bojangles and smelled fried chicken and caved, good grief the calories!)

Here's the foods

Coffee: Regular coffee with creamer (40, 0)

Breakfast: Bacon egg bite (183, 12)

Snack: Siggi's strawberry (120, 15)

Lunch: Chicken 4 cajun tenders (456, 30)

Snack:  Premier Protein, Chocolate (160, 30)

Dinner: Beef cubed steak, green beans (150, 25)

Good Morning Daizymom and Menu Family!

Thanks for starting us out, Teena!

QOTD:  All the job I had I loved.  I had my own sign / art business for several years and I truly loved doing that.  Then I managed a picture framing shop for another 17 years and really enjoyed doing that as well.  I guess my dream job might be to have a shelter for dogs that no one else wants to adopt and I would give them a home and love them to pieces.  Right now, being retired and caring for my two rescued dogs a dream come true.

B:  Bacon & spinach egg frittata

L:  Chicken & wild rice soup

D:  Rib-eye steak

S:  Light n Fit Greek yogurt

S:  Prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

Have a fantastic day and a wonderful week everyone!

Good Morning JB & Menu Fam!

Daizymom: Thanks for getting us started this AM! Welcome back to work!

QOTD: I really like what I do, as a graphic/digital designer. It's the clients that are dreams for me. I'd love to have fun clients like nike or apple to design for.

Question for folks: After major weight loss, I've noticed that along with the saggy skin, there is also "giggly flesh" (sounds gross, i know but i'm at a loss for words) in my thighs, arms and belly.  Does this go away with exercise (Cardio and resistence) and water or is plastic surgery the only way to remove this?

S: Premiere Protien Chocolate

L: Eggface Ricotta Bake with Sweet Italian Sausage

S: 1/2 bottle of Isopure , 10 Cashews

Not much you can do about skin that has been stretched out except PS. If you are younger or have very good skin elasticity, it might bounce back better than others. Basically, I keep my skin very moisturized after my shower and apply oils, etc to it. I think I may have been very lucky in this scenario. I do have extra on arms, abdomen, thighs and butt area. OH and my neck has some. I'm putting AHA on it - not sure it is helping but I'm trying.

Hi, I think the skin issues depend on so many factors. I do know that mine shifted a bit but nothing  has really changed with the "apron".

Good morning all. Not great weekend. Went to my parents house and my dads dementia is getting very bad. He is so confused all the time now and it breaks my heart. My mom, bless her heart takes such good care of him, but she is not in the best of health herself and has to be 'on' 24/7 to keep him safe.  We are trying to come up with a better living situation for them w/all the help they need. This is not easy. DS new roommate situations fell though at the last minute and he had to move home. He is so upset and feels like a failure and there is nothing I can say to make him feel better. I can't sleep, I'm so tired and feeling emotionally spent so I stayed home from work today.

I have a great job as jobs go and I really love mine, but it is not my dream job. I wanted to be a Dietician in college believe it or not and when I first saw my NUT at my WLS, I wished I had her job. I was unable to continue pursuing my MS and could not afford an unpaid internship as a single mom, it was just to difficult.

3+months out

stuck at 250ish for a couple weeks now - want to get the scale moving!

b-coffee w/heavy cream and SF hazelnut syrup

b2-scrambled egg w/cheese and salsa

l-LF cheese and beef jerky

d-turkey meatballs, SF marinara, parmesan

v-l - doing good

e -not happening today

going through the dementia issue myself (with my father).  He's been in a nursing home for two years as his wife could no longer take care of him (in addition to having Alzheimer's, he was also a fall risk - he was falling all the time).  It's very sad and it gradually gets worse and worse.  It's a mean disease, as the director of nursing at his facility says.  My heart goes out to you.

Sorry to hear about your father. It is very sad. My dad is a fall risk as well, he is very unsteady and there are several trips to the ER monthly. He is very weak and my mom can't lift him at all. We are looking into homes where they can be together, but not sure that can happen. Thank you for the kind words of support.
