Say it out loud- "I am in Maintenance" LOL Changing our mindset is important, even though the idea is scary because none of us have ever actually maintained before or we wouldn't be here.

Even in maintenance your weight fluctuates.... I am trying to get back to where I don't have such huge swings....In Nov and Dec pre-the arrival of my son and family for Christmas, I was in my sweet spot and staying within a 3lb range....

it's definitely a completely different mindset.  At no time in my life have I ever worked to maintain my weight - I was either actively trying to lose or feeling completely out of control.  And for the last three years, I have been in mega-weight-loss mode.  I've been a machine, as Grim says.  So this is really weird!!!

In maintenance +/-3 lbs is realistic. Typical day is +/-2 lbs... But I see 3 often enough.  Water, hormones, BM... Or just because.

I have been in the 160's basically since August. (I record once a week, and looking at my records I only had 2 weeks I jumped to 170 or 171)

I say my maintenance is +/- 165. November and December I was hanging very steady on a daily basis at 165-ish.... Then Christmas arrived my son and family and then getting smacked with one sickness after another then vacation... so although my weekly weigh-in day Wednesday I seem to always be in the 160's the fluctuations during a given week are too big... I am trying to get back to the place of balance.

You inspired me to continue working on my taxes -- now I'm in a foul mood. We owe more than double what we owed last year. I think we need to head to a tax preparer to get some guidance.

for the first time in a long time, we'll be getting money back - but that's because my husband lost his job last summer and has been working a couple of poorly-paying part-time jobs while job searching.  So our income was only half of what it was in the last few years.   It's great to get money back for once - but I'd rather have a second full-time professional salary!!

Morning weekend crew!! It's cold out here- yesterday I ran in a short sleeve shirt, no hat, jacket or gloves. Today- windy cold... my least favorite combo to run in-- and I had to layer up.

Hubby is taking the boys to church with him today- so I'll have the house to myself (squeal!). I really need some black leggings- but don't want to leave the house to look for them. Dilemmas! In front of the TV/computer is most likely the agenda for today!

I came to a realization today- I'm perfectly happy where I'm at. So from here on out I'm in the 'taking what I can get as long at its less than or equal to my happy#' phase.

Qotd: I get an eating well magazine- something I got from my heath insurance for doing their telephone counseling. I don't read it and chuck it every month. I don't read- even magazines or newspapers. My secret shame.

193.5 today, 21 months out

m1: 2 scrambled eggs, 4 turkey sausage, 1/2 oz bologna

m2: oatmeal 1/2c, fairlife milk 1c, berries

m3: left over spare ribs and salad

m4: bourbon chicken chunks 3.6oz

m5: sirloin steak, broccoli

I love the Hue leggings. Nordstrom Rack or Macy's with a coupon is your best bet on price. They will hold up forever....

I am an online shopper.  Partly because of time and partly because finding clothes in the stores has been difficult.  I am overweight AND almost 6' tall.  I have to wear tights and nylons all year round for my job and discovered this place called "silkies" online.  I buy a couple of times a year from them so I always have hose and tights.  I just bought some new tights and hose yesterday.  And for the first time in years I was "only" a Queen size nd not and EXTRA Queen!    If you don't want to go out today and you don't need the tights IMMEDIATELY (Takes them a week or less to arrive) I would suggest trying Silkies.  Good, sturdy quality.

I've heard of silkies and have bought their hose/tights before-- I'm not a fan of their products. Colors are complimentary for brown skin and not as sheer as I prefer.
