Good morning my OH friends!

I am not sure why I am up so early.  Really wanted to sleep in.

We have had (48) hours  of torrential rain... I decided to stay home and be productive.  I am in the middle of purging junk that I have accumulated in baskets in my laundry room.  It is such a dumping ground.  Drives me crazy... My sons play football.  Today, I am going to go through the football rubbernade and throw out stuff that they simply don't wear anymore.

I have finished packing for my trip to Florida.  Yes... With (3) sons that do not pack on their own, I must be organized on my own.  I am going to close and weigh the luggage.  I have skipped the gym for drumming classes because the operative ankle in swollen & painful.  I forget that I had (3) tendons repaired.

QOTD:  The only time I have time to read through magazines is when I am colouring my hair.  I am currently reading Girl Under The Ice on my KOBO.

Would love the recipe for Sous Vide Egg Bites!

I am 7 weeks out post RNY

B: Costco Premiere Protein Shake (30gm)

Good morning.. Last day in DC. I am going to miss my daughter but will be happy to be back into a routine.  I have had way way to much ice tea the past four days.  If you are ever in DC check out Bourbon Coffee, they actually have a bran*****ambridge and one in NYC as well.  Great coffee and great ice tea.  Her play was amazing.  I tried to get a video of her solos but it did not come out so well.  Last night she hit this high note that I have not heard her hit before and my husband leaned over to me afterward and said "that is what we have been paying for three vocal lessons a week for 15 years for" made me cry.  It also made me feel good after the show to actually have to wait to see and congratulate her because of all the other people wanting to see her and congratulate her as well.

QOTD:  We have our local newspaper, Guitar Player (for the hubs), Backstage (for the daughter), People (ok I like smut once in a while).  I am very guilty of being one of those people who pick up a magazine at the check out of the grocery store because a story looks interesting instead of having a subscription.  When my mom was still alive she religiously purchased the Star magazine and a couple more like them and then she would send them over to my house thinking they were something I could not live without. So once a week my husband would take one and I would take one and we would flip through one and read each other all the hilarious headlines "Joe Schmo is sleeping with the nannies fifths cousins best friend while his wife is at the beach" we used to have such a great time doing this.

Food for the day is who knows.  My daughter is make reservations for brunch some where and then who knows what we are doing but I do know we are taking her grocery shopping.  She needs some fresh fruits and vegetables and tofu in her fridge.

Have a wonderful Sunday friends....

Chilly here in Illinois too. It was 22 when Lily and I did our 3.2 mile trek about town. Post op 4 1/2 years weight at 118.4 today. I did much better with fluids yesterday so 100 ounces is the goal today too. Plans today are church in a few minutes and then to the in laws to have lunch and spend time with the oldest son who is down from Minneapolis with his girlfriend through next Sunday. It's been 10 months since we went to see them so it's great to get to spend time with them. You raise your kids to be strong and independent but it stinks when they end up so far away from you. Your life changes and evolves but you still always miss and worry about them. QOTD I don't subscribe to any magazines. Meals for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1/2 c chicken salad 1/2 c Asian cabbage salad D 31/2 oz blue cheese brat 1/2 c Asian cabbage salad. S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar.  Have a great day everyone and make some well thought out choices that move you one step closer to your goal!

I am trying hard to work up the nerve to get a supershort haircut. My hair is really thin and I'm hoping it will help. But if it doesn't, I will have lost the ability to put my hair up to hide my sad thin scalp. Hmm.

I vote museum. L love museums...

We have church today, no usual potluck because my parents are coming over to return my 6yo...he has spent a few days with them being doted upon. :)

breakfast- coffee and milk, and then probably a shake.

Lunch- more leftovers...fish? I made way too much fish.

Snack- half a protein bar, tea. I'm stealing that thick cut pepperoni and laughing cow thing.

Dinner- scrambling here...missing the potluck has thrown my meal plans. Chicken I think...but not sure what yet.

Good morning everyone. Its 35 here and snowing wet sloppy flakes in the Pacific Northwest.  Yesterday was really nice in the 40's. We did some yard work.

I am having a hard time getting rid of my clothes. I feel so attached to them. I have 7 totes in the garage of 22,20's and 18's. Why am I so attached to these clothes?? I think I have made up my mind to donate them to a local womens shelter.

My menu for the day-

B- 2 chicken sausage and 1 poached egg

snack- chomps meat stick

L- 3 oz tuna with cilantro, onion

D- probabaly grilled chicken or baked cod

Have a great day.

QOTD- I don't subscribe to any magazines.

A couple months ago I stopped bringing all of my clothes back up to my room after I washed them in an effort to sort and organize. I have piles folded downstairs of things that are all too big for me now but haven't made the effort to get rid of. I still go through it trying to find something to wear but there are some sweaters specifically that just look ridiculous and sloppy. Does that convince me to part with them? Nope, I fold them back up and put them back on the pile. I don't understand the why but I do get the strange attachment.

I know for me I had a very difficult time imagining that I would not need these clothes again. I had one time during my adult life when hubby and I met when my weight was about 145 thanks to diligent dieting, exercise and phentermine. But it was short lived indeed--about two months and the weight began to head back up. I was obese most of the rest of my life, even as a child. These old items are how we see ourselves and we're comfortable with the known. This weight loss is an unknown and fears creep in that perhaps this time will be like all the other failed attempts. The unknown though can be amazing though and it's time to find a new home for these loved items. Share them with those who can use them now and move yourself on to new and even more amazing things! My old favorites have been gone almost 4 years and now I love my new things even morenjoyed. I don't need them anymore and neither do you.

I'm hoping to finish my tax returns today (I HATE doing this so watch out!  I'm liable to bite someone's head off!) and am meeting my mom and sister for lunch - hopefully at the Mexican grocery we discovered three weeks ago.  Wonderful food and cheap to boot!

Bought some new underwear (top and bottom) yesterday since the old stuff is too big now and looks old-lady-ish.  Boy what a huge difference!!  Looks youthful and stylish and actually holds me up much better (or at least the top part!).  Amazing difference!!

my weight is down over a pound today - my lowest ever - not sure why because I've come up a bit in calories  lately - but I'll take it!

QOTD:  we subscribe to our local newspaper plus the Washington Post.  I also currently subscribe to the Smithsonian, Cooking Light, and Food & Wine.  I also get the AARP magazine since I'm a member (we used to subscribe to much more - e.g. The Atlantic Monthly, the New Yorker, Time, The Economist, Bon Appetit, Gourmet - but we couldn't keep up with it all!  I still have issues lying around from a couple of years ago that were never read!)

20 months out (and supposedly in maintenance...)

B:  plain homemade Greek yogurt mixed with 1/2 scoop Syntrax Truffle, Crio Bru grounds, 1 T oats, some instant espresso powder and soaked overnight - topped this morning with 2 t cacao nibs and fresh raspberries (thanks to NYMom for the basic idea!)

S:  coffee with half & half, SF protein/fiber strawberry cheesecake protein shake (thanks to JB and NYMom for this idea!)

L:  probably carnitas or a huarache

D:  the rest of the pulled pork, cole slaw mixed with sesame-miso vinaigrette

a L&F Greek yogurt this evening if I can afford the calories

ex:  I should probably stay off this ankle for a few days, but I really want to go to Aqua Zumba tonight, esp since I can't go next week
