Question: Symptoms of an Ulcer? Experiences?
My ulcer felt a bit like heartburn. Just a steady, gnawing pain that lasted a few weeks. I just figured it was acid. I knew it was a bleeding ulcer when about a gallon of blood came shooting out of my butt.
I should have seen the doctor sooner. Learn from my mistake.

Ditto the gnawing pain. I also got an uncomfortable "full feeling" even with just a few bites. I had a lot of nausea with liquids.
Don't wait too long to see your doctor. It can go really bad, really fast.
Ok I had stabbing and burning that was worse about 30 min after I ate on the left side under my ribs. Additionally I had right side pain. this was about 3 mo after surgery.
They put me on liquids and put me on carafate and protonix for 3 months. (not the liquids but drugs) then it still didn't resolve so they checked GB. GB was hosed so had it out. fast forward from sept 2016, still will have issues if I go off the protonix and the new dr put me on an antispamodic. went to a gastro, they did endo and ultrasound and nothing on both.
SO - My diagnosis of myself is that 1) don't need to eat quest bars as they mimic ulcer/gerd condistions for me, and 2) I think I have right side pain when I have to poop and I'm not staying on top of it. I'm still seeing gastro and I did read that I can take some time for all the side effects from having GB out to go away.
All I do know is that I want to be off the meds. any I would like to stop peeing myself but I suppose that is another story for another day.

Don't know if it's ok for me to weigh in, since I have never had an ulcer! But ulcers are a discussion topic in my house this week because my husband just had a scope looking for one. The reason: he has had VERY LOW energy, and a recent blood test showed very low iron and red blood cell count (if I've got that right--I know I'm being imprecise).
Anyhow, it turns out he did not have an ulcer in his upper tract.
BUT, you have said that you have been feeling really awful lately. Since my husband's doctors thought that low energy (with low iron) could mean an ulcer--perhaps the low energy could be related to an ulcer, if that is actually what you have.
Just FWIW.
I sure hope you get feeling better.
