What's on Your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Friday guys!
This has been a weird week for me, I'm in a bit of a funk that started with a conversation I had with my MIL where she commented that I was doing so well with my weight loss and then in the same breath asked me if I really needed surgery. It surprised me, not the question itself as it's one of those questions you get when people know that you've made the decision to have WLS, but that it came from someone that I've talked to at length about my decision. I told her that yes, I absolutely needed it and wouldn't I have succeeded at this weight problem long ago if I could do it on my own? I was more calm about it than I was in my head, believe me....in my head I'm angry, and reminded of how many times I've failed over and over and over again at achieving a healthy weight. It's thrown me for a loop, and is definitely something I'll be taking with me to therapy on Tuesday.
This weekend we're getting ready for my hubby to head to GDC for the week - so we'll spend Saturday just hanging out...then it will be just me and the kidlet for a week, and hopefully I won't snatch myself bald by the end I'm sure we'll be fine....we've done it before, but I totally tend to go to bed at the same time he does because I'm just pooped!
Here's my pictures this week - my boykitty Hagrid getting some camera time while I was petting him last night (and my mickey mouse slipper photo-bombing), and then the gigantic pile-of-grilled-steak from my brother-in-law's birthday party....because I know most of us love the protein porn
QOTD: I'm drawing a total blank on this....I'll come back and update if I think of something

I have no new pictures today. But your Sysyphean made me think of Stygian. I also like ameliorate. But my favorite might be polyisocyanurate. Which of course is sesquipedalian.
