Good Morning all. Very cute picture and top you have JB. Looks like the rain and snow is going to be back starting today. Well it was nice to have sun and warm while it lasted!! Only new words I seem to learn anymore are veterinary medical procedure terms, so nothing much interesting to others.

Yesterday's menu ended up like this: B: coffee beef stick with babybell cheese  L: beef jerky D: egg drop soup and one egg roll

Super cute top! I have got to do something about the clothing situation. It has reached a crisis. Shirts are the worst. I need something long enough to cover Front Butt, and my arms are just atrocious beyond all reason...I really need elbow leng
th sleeves. I wore a regular tshirt yesterday and spent all day worrying and wrangling with the bat wings, lol.

So, this picture...this is my house, an a-frame with thes crazy tall ceilings. I said we had decks on all four sides. And we live surrounded by trees. Well, also almost every room is glass on one entire side, and has sliding glass doors. I guess it was bound to happen, but we got a bird in here. Can you see him there in the window? Ya'll, we tried everything. I was duct taping a net onto various poles trying to catch him. I set up birdseed on a tub in front of the door to lure him down near the exit. We couldn't get him down. He died after a couple of days. I was not happy.

Qotd---we love words here...my autistic son literally reads dictionaries and has a big SAT vocabulary, lol. But of course I am drawing a blank now. I will be back!

Breakfast- oatmeal for the kids, I think I will have a couple of eggs.

Lunch- tuna Apple salad

Dinner- tilapia picatta

Trying to see what snacks I really need and only get them when needed. I find myself not hungry at meals due to snacks. I have yogurt and babybell cheese in mind as needed.

Good morning JB and gang.  I'm not feeling well today.  I am feeling completely worn down and exhausted.  I'm starting to wonder if there isn't something physically wrong with me.  I am due for a blood draw, and I have the order from my PCP.  I just found out that the lab is open on Saturday's, so I'll be having it drawn first thing tomorrow.  I'll admit that I've been slacking on my patches this last month or so.  I had gone to see my PCP and gotten the order for blood work, so I stopped using my patches with the intention of getting to the lab and I wanted to be off the patches for a few days, and then I just never got a chance to get to the lab.  It's only been like 3 weeks, but I started using the patches again this week because I'm feeling so bad.  Today I feel so bad that I'm actually kinda scared about it.  I have therapy this morning at 11, so I'll talk to my therapist about it, and hopefully the blood work will come back quickly.

Hubby will be home this evening, his flight lands at 7:30.  I'll probably go to bed really early tonight.  I'm supposed to be hosting a craft night at my house tomorrow, but I really am not feeling good and my house is a freaking mess, so I'm thinking about cancelling it.

I got my shoes yesterday.  Here they are, don't mind the dirty little boy feet in there, lol.

18.75 months since surgery

B: Ricotta and Pepperoni egg cup, coffee with SF coffeemate

L: Egg cups with ham, onion mushrooms and cheese.

D: food.

I'm so not feeling the food planning today.  Honestly it's all I can do to stay upright in my chair.

You need to put yourself back on the "important" list. You need to take care of yourself so you can be there for your family, especially the one with those cute little boy feet!!!

This may prove to be an unpopular post, but I'm going to do it anyway.  First, I'm confused as to why you'd stop taking your supplements or wearing your patches for several weeks prior to a blood draw.  Were you instructed to do that??  Because stopping supplements seems like an imperfect way to determine if you're supplementing at an appropriate level.  Be that as it may, here's the part that may be unpopular.  I know from reading your posts that you're struggling a bit with food, your husband being gone, etc.  I also notice that you've added wine back into your diet.  I'm concerned that you can't bring yourself to keep up with your supplements (something that I know you know is important for the good health of a RNY patient), but you seem to have zero problem remembering to drink your wine.  I get that you're stressed.  Hell, I would guess that we're all stressed.  I get that you're tired, but I would also guess that we're all tired.  Wine will not keep you healthy, your supplements will.  I'm glad you're seeing a therapist and hope that you can work with him/her to figure our why you appear to be sabotaging your health and well being.  We all want to see you successful, happy and healthy.

Hi Stacy!  I did not mean for the length of time to stop using my patches to stretch into weeks.  There has been some discussion about stopping the patches for a few days before getting a blood draw, so there can be an accurate gauge of where your levels are.  I stopped using them with the intention of getting my blood drawn within a few days, and then things got super busy at home and while I kept meaning to be able to stop at the lab and get my blood drawn, it kept getting pushed off.  THEN I got out of the routine and habit of using my patches, and then by the time I got to work and had forgotten them, I didn't have access, but then by the time I got home I had forgotten about it again.  It is what it is.  I've alleviated that problem by bringing patches to work and putting them in my desk, that way if I do forget in the morning I can still stick them on when I get to work.  That's why I'm back to it this week.  I realize that drinking wine is not on my plan and that supplements are, and I'm on my way to getting back on track.

Had my therapy appointment this morning and had a nice talk about lots of stuff.  I'm feeling a little better this afternoon, already.
