What's on Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I forgot QOTD: I went shopping for new make-up. With WLS and losing weight my face is dryer and not as plump so I'm seeing wrinkles that I didn't have before. I bought some nice moisturizers too. Also, My daughter and I did a face mask together. It was the kind that dries and you peel off. It felt so good.
Hey hey OH family! Happy Thursday! Yesterday I started my new job, I love it so far. There is such a loving, positive vibe there and everyone treats each other like family. It's good to feel like I'm on a team again :)
QOTD: Lately I haven't done much for myself because I don't have the funds BUT hopefully when I get my first paycheck from my new job I will have some extra cash to treat myself to something... Probably not clothes, at least not yet haha. Maybe some fancy boots?!

QOTD: I don't usually buy for myself (My old MO self) but, I broke down and spent the big bucks for the "girls". I was hesitant because it was on line---perfect fit!!
I also had my 6 month labs done this morning. Posting later in the morning, I feel like I'm copying everyone's answers!!!

The Girls deserve it! Aside from a few items, I mostly buy used clothes... but the girls have been to Soma twice now since I had RNY, and I always get them the best! Totally deserving...

I do prefer soma over VS. but I did buy a new bra last week on vacation- got resized also as I got smaller in that area. they were also having a buy a bra full price, get a pretty bralette free- plus I had 2 free undie coupons also- so $40 for 2 bras and 2 undies, oh plus another pair were $3 and I got those.

Good morning!!! JB I'm impressed that you went to the gym last night and again this morning- hard core cool!!
I had my 3 month appointment yesterday and it went really well. I was only up 2 pounds at 4 pm from my am weight, not bad. They were happy with my weight loss. They said my daily walking isn't enough and I really need to join a gym for weight lifting (circuit stuff) and classes to vary my workouts and not wait until I feel more comfortable with my weight to join. So, I need to research my options. They talked talked about the plate divide that included carbs, smh.... one interesting thing they said is that by one year I would probably be able to eat 1 cup of food, but to never go over that from then on out. Thoughts?
QOTD- I started putting money aside for a new wardrobe when I reach my goal!

I think you should add in exercise when you're ready... it's hard enough committing to, and perfecting our diets...
But that's just my opinion.
I started formally exercising (strength training) only a couple of months ago... I wasn't ready before that. I've read enough from the Vets and have seen the spectrum on exercise... I believe it's a great thing to do for your health, but not for losing weight.

I agree, I'm not really ready to join in my head and I'm not sure how committed I will be. I had planned on waiting until I got under 200. They said even if I only go 2x a week that it would be good for me. Hard to argue with that.
