Good Morning all. I have done a few things for myself lately in preparing for our upcoming vacation. First I have purchased some new clothes for trip and second I started going to the tanner to get a base tan. I was afraid since I am naturally so pale I would fry like a tomato if I didn't! For some odd reason I walk out of the tanning bed feeling like I just spend the past hour out in natural sun :) Not sure why but it does feel good.
Eating yesterday went much better but little odd. Didn't seem very hungry which is not normal for me! But my menu ended up looking like this: B: coffee L: hunters sausage, baby bell cheese D: pork chops, small almond salad S: beef jerky
The scale was up today! I am hoping and thinking it was from all the salt in the jerky. I don't normally eat jerky (not sure why, it was good) but I do know high salt foods make me hold water for a day or two. So trying not to panic.
I have never really tanned before until recently, and now that my gym has it as part of my membership, I feel this obligation to use it! LOL I go about once a week, and I feel the same way! It warms me up - which is a HUGE plus - and it's so relaxing... I always leave there in a good mood afterwards (even if it isn't good for you).
I drink extra water just before bedtime if I've had extra salt... it seems to help me, but I don't seem to retain water like some people do over sodium.

QOTD last thing I did for myself was go camping last week. Sometimes I just need to get away from the phone and relax a bit. Post op 4 years 5.75 months and weight at 117.4 today. No extra bites taken yesterday so that was good. Lily and I have done our 3.2 miles already and in a bit I'll walk another 1.25 miles up to the food pantry. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz meatballs 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz pork rib let 1/2 Asian cabbage salad S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices that move you one step closer to your goal!
Good morning menu peeps!
It's Friday Eve!! And I am back to work on Monday. Sigh. Extending my sick leave from 4 to 6 weeks was probably one of the best things I've done for me. I'm still figuring out the food. Yesterday was a rough day as I only ate a very small breakfast and dinner. And only got in about 30 grams of protein. I will do better today and I'm really glad that those days are not the norm. We are also going to look at a vehicle today. Our Dodge Grand Caravan is getting up there in mileage. Not sure we want a car payment though. We will check this one out and see what the payments look like and then decide.
B: Homemade Greek yogurt with NSA Raspberry jam.
L: Protein shake
D: Maybe leftover chicken. Depends on what I make for the kids.
Have a great day!

77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning, JB and friends! I'm so impressed that you're running! I have often thought I want to be a runner, but then I try to do couch to 5k or something like it and decide about 2 weeks in that I just don't actually want to be a runner LOL - so I've moved on.
QOTD: I went to yoga this morning! The 5:25am alarm is a little rough, but I'm always very happy when I'm there. It's a gentle yoga class, so it's all about the breathe, stretching, restoration...
The last two days have been insane, but today is quite quiet (knock on wood). I need to buckle down and get this huge annual report done though, so I think I'll need to close my door and put my phone on do not disturb - I've been procrastinating on it for weeks and it's due next Friday.
Time since surgery: 2 years + 11 months
B: pre-yoga apple, coffee, baked egg
S: Siggi's
L: leftover fritatta from last evening
S: nuts and string cheese
D: english muffin pizza
S: popcorn
V/W: started
E: yoga

I'm not actually convinced that I love running. But I am competitive and this is doing the trick for the moment :)
