What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
on 2/22/17 8:28 am
Good morning and happy Wednesday!! It's sunny out today which is a good thing here in CA. The devastation from the rains and clean up is unreal. Driving to work is an adventure.
JB - sorry you have to work with people like that. I'm glad you don't let those energy and time sucks get to you.
I bought an inexpensive espresso machine and can't wait to use it! As much as I love coffee and lattes it will be better to make my own using Fairlife milk at home. The directions seem a little complicated so I'm going to break it in this weekend. I'm sure after I run through it, I'll be fine even on busy weekday mornings. Ummm coffee :)
Today I see the Dr. for my 3 month check up. My appt. is at 3:30. Ugh, why did I do that? So much for early morning empty stomach weigh in! Then again, I'm not sure I care too much. I go by my scale anyway.
QOTD - This time of year I wear boots daily, today I have on my black suede booties. I haven't been able to wear heels for years! I thought it was my age or my ankles, but from what I've read on OH it's probably my weight (that honestly never occurred to me). I just may give them another chance down the road.
3 months since surgery
b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda + Venti triple shot latte w/splenda from SB's (it was that kind of morning)
L-maybe LF salami and LF cheese - the SB latte fills me up for hours
D-Turkey Meatballs, SF marinara, parmesan cheese
v/l -great! almost back to all water, all day. This has made me very happy!
e-depending on weather, walking the pups or treadmill
Have a great day!!

Good morning, JB and Menu Family!
JB-I'm sorry you have to deal with those kinds of people! It makes a good day go sour very quickly.
QOTD: Warm today in the mid-80's (I love Texas!). So, flip flops!!! Please excuse my ugly feet!
The scale is still in the downward move, so that's great! Bad thing is....I don't want the protein today. I want fruit and veggies, so I'm trying to incorporate some of that into the plan.
B: Chipotle Cheddar Stick, fresh fruit
S: Ranch Tuna Creations, jalapeno almonds
L: Hard salami, cheese stick, green grapes
S: 1/2 banana, PB2

Planning on doing a little running this evening, but not in these flip flops. I wear Under Armour running shoes.

Good afternoon menu peeps! Busy busy busy work day for me. Uhg.
QOTD: Boots! Still loving that I can wear knee high boots. Such a NSV. Here is a picture... please notice that the top of the calf is too big. When I first started wearing boots I only could squeeze into the wide calf cut...now the regular cut is too wide. So weird.

Accountability: Smoking quit is going really well. It is rough but I am feeling strong. No smoking since the one I had yesterday morning. On the full dose of the Chantix now and the dreaming is still vivid but not scary. Overall, I am diggin it. Feeling good to breathe clean. Weighed in at 123.0 this morning. All good there.
FYI...this is a new flavor Chobani I found. Holy batman! So delicious!!
Have a great day everyone!

You are doing so great! Julia is right - it gets better and better. I quit about 4 years ago (quit before RNY) and I can't even imagine smoking now - and TRUST ME, I loved it when I was a smoker. I didn't think I would ever get this far. You are going to feel so healthy and accomplished!
BTW, I never had scary dreams with Chantix, so it's not a given :)
Way to go!!!
Great news on the smoking! I'm so proud of you!!!! I'm also glad to hear that the dreams are just vivid and not terrorizing. I needed to hear that today! Here we go, girl! We've so got this!!!!
