What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning all,
Even though the weather is forecast for upper 50's today in CT, I decided to wear my black over the knee flat heeled boots! I love these boots. I love wearing boots anyway, and sad to see winter go because I love my boots!
They are great for walking, running up and down the stairs at work, etc.
I had a very positive day and night yesterday. I am so glad that I came back to OH...now I see where I've been going wrong with my diet and gaining. I studied lots of posts and compared what others eats, how many years out they are and it was really informative!
I did increase protein and added treadmill workouts, increased to 20 minutes from 10 minutes. Increased water as well.
Quite pleased this morning with the scale :)
Here's my meals for today:
Coffee with splash of Coffee Mate French Vanilla
Breakfast: 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal with a banana, splash of 2% milk (the doctor told me to eat oatmeal only twice a week, but this is the one meal I absolutely love having, it is going to take a lot of work for me to give this up)
Lunch: cottage cheese with cinnamon and fresh fruit cup
Snack: (if needed) Oikos Triple X Coconut Creme Yogurt
Dinner: Baked chicken, veggie
Snack: (if needed) Cheese stick, few almonds
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning menu gang! I have been MIA for over a week and happy to be back. The flu bug and sinus infections have hit my house hard. I think we are on the down side of everything, atleast I hope we are. Being we have been sick it makes me have questions: ***what kind of cough drops and cough medicines do you use that are not full of sugar?? The cough drops I am using are sugar free but still carb loaded and the cough syrup makes me feel sick as soon as I swallow it. I know it has effected my body because I am up two full pounds. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't have any advice on the cough drops either but I do use the ludens sugar free when my throat is scratchy. You have be carful with all of the sugar free cough drops, if you consume too many it will give you the runs! Even if you haven't had WLS.
Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Today is an unusual day as I am not heading straight to the office but ferrying my teenage daughter around for an ENT appointment and then driving her almost an hour to school (we live in the country so everything is always far away.) THEN I get to go to work. Covering hearings for a friend so I have to dress court friendly (ie, formal with a jacket) which is pretty typical for most weekdays. Yesterday I wore a new pair of heels that were absolutely adorable, but by the end of the day I had a horrible bloody blister on my left heel. As a result, today I am wearing band aids and my trusty old black leather loafers with slacks. I haven't given up on the heels from yesterday. I think I need a pad or something in the left heel. It didn't help that I got them all wet when I was forced to splash through standing water in order to get into the courthouse. Here in Oregon it has been raining non stop for a couple of weeks. We are going to break our record for February rainfall. Imagine how much rain that has to be to break a record in OREGON, where it rains this time of year ALL THE TIME. :)
