I love the shoes JB. I've been looking for a pair of black leather pumps--  those are just what I'm looking for. Today I got rid of my old 'work sweater". You know- the one that stays at the office for whenever you get chilly. It was a size 2X, and once was so tight it wouldn't even zipper. Well it looked ridiculous on me now- like I had a beach towel wrapped around me. I replaced it with a size large sweater I got for 90 cents at the thrift store. (I figure if its just for work I'm not spending major bucks on it). It looks so 'petite' sitting on the back of my chair-- the other one looked sloppy hanging there.

Nothing else new in my end of the world. My weight is still up, I did really well yesterday, repeating the same today- need to get back to my comfort zone.

21 month out, 196.2 today

M1: 2 scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, cheese

M2: small apple, cheese stick

M3: 4.6 oz roast beef, 1/4c roasted Parmesan potatoes

M4: 2.2oz lunch meet roll-up, 1oz cashews

M5: forgot to take something out. Kids have leftover they can eat- I'll likely eat shrimp or more roast beef.

My shoes today are my favorite flats-

Holy crow!  Your socks match!  :)  Finding matching socks in my wardrobe is sometimes something of a challenge.

I'm back from the state park. We went Thursday afternoon and came home about noon yesterday. Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already today and walked and walked while we were camping too. Post op 4 years 5.5 months and weight at 117.6 today after 5 days with no scale. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz pork chops 1/2 c green beans at senior meal D 31/2 oz pork ribs 1/2 c Asian salad (cabbage with carrots and ginger dressing) S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar.  QOTD had walking shoes on earlier but now have my short brown boots on. Good morning weight losing friends.  Funny you should ask about shoes today.  I realized last night that I was still wearing my shoes that were just over 2 years old.  That means they were carrying over 500 pounds daily until the end of May (as I never had a reason to wear my running shoes - yes in my 40's I ran long distances and stocked up.  Still have 4 pairs of my training brand in boxes).  So last night my wife and I dug through all my boxes and I got the - ugly color, ugly color, ugly color, this is okay.  So now I have a nice new pair of Brooks Beasts out to take with me on vacation (yes, they are actually 12 years old - let's pray that the material didn't decay) and a new pair of Ecco dress shoes.  I should have taken a picture of the old Ecco's as they were so beat up.

B - Fage yogurt with tbs granola; protein muffin later as a late morning snack

L - 3.5 ounces of roast beef

S - Sargento reduced fat cheddar stick (I've got to remember to pack some in the cooler tomorrow when we leave)

D - Unknown as my wife wants to pick up something and I'll just eat whatever she gets - as you know we don't eat much

S - Shake, either Premier or Syntrax

P.S. Say hello to my compression socks and sleeves, as I see they are in the picture too - that will be a hell of an NSV when I don't need those anymore.  Darn DVT!  And won't it be nice when I can actually wear laces again.  That will be another NSV.  That is probably why I never wore my running shoes, now that I think about it.  So I guess I'll be testing that in the morning when I lace them up to be my new driving shoes.

I love Brooks running shoes.  At my last job they were a client of ours, so we got the friends and family discount.  Came in handy when I needed shoes for my first 5k last year.

I have an interesting Brooks story, made me a raving fan.  I was stuck only wearing New Balance 555s or Brooks Beasts being a heavy weight runner.  I did the marathon at 240.  So I was at a conference at Dartmouth and there was a morning run organized for participants.  I was out with a group of 5 or 6 peoples on a 3 mile casual run and a gentlemen started up a conversation with me.  The topic quickly turned to running and why I chose the Brooks.  At the end of the run he told me he was the President of Brooks.  We ate breakfast together and we just talked running and shoes.  It was very interesting and their company philosophy has stuck with me for years.  I only got mad when they changed the Brooks NGTs.  They were my training shoes for the marathon and the redesign didn't agree with my gait.  So I had to go back to the Beasts.  That's why I stocked up.

How cool is that.  I had contact with Brooks directly on a regular basis, since I was account manager for them for my department.  They were always very cool and I really liked my contacts.  Of course, I wasn't dealing with the President of the company, lol.
