QOTD: We will be heading to the med center for my daughter's follow up visit after her surgery last week so I will be wearing flip flops. It will be 80 here in Houston today. I love winter in the south!!

Thanks for all the well-wishes for my daughter. My poor baby. She is on a liquid diet and has lost 7 pounds this week. The lack of food is making her weak (she is not crazy about liquids so is not getting much nutrition in). Hopefully today we will get the green light to get her back on soft foods.

She is starting to feel better, as is evident in this picture. My silly girl. She got her lacrosse uniform yesterday and was so excited to show it off.

I had to take the whole day off, so I will take an extra long walk this afternoon. My daily goal will be 20,000 steps.

Due to the stress, I am up 3 pounds, but will work on losing it this week. I have to cut back on the carbs!!

Its a nice day in the 50s here but I am soooo jealous of the 80s! I miss flip-flops :)

EIGHTY DEGREES!!!  Holy son of a white faced cow!  Yesterday I sat in my car wondering if I could just work over the phone so I wouldn't have to get out and abandon my heated leather seats!  Ha ha!  (Oregon.  Cold and rainy.)  Your daughter - freaking ADORABLE!

We are going to set a record this week of the most days in winter above 80 degrees. I think it is 21 days. I love it!!

My boyfriend lives in Michigan. The weather is one of the big reasons I will never move there!! 

Look how cute she is! Is she a lacrosse veteran? I hope she heals up fast and gets to eat food soon.
