Well, I guess it's encouraging to hear I'm not alone in this although I'm sorry so many of you have experienced it!

i do get the "foamies" from time to time (a lot of mucous production), usually from eating too fast, but it's usually quick and relatively painless, but this was a new one.

It is most often from eating too fast, this time I felt I was chewing pretty well, but maybe not. And there is very little wiggle room for me when it comes to ground meat!

Thanks for all the feedback and advice!  What exactly is it that this papaya thing does to help??

Our center recommends drinking warm water with meat tenderizer to break up the lodged meat.

Hi Jester,

I've had this happen over the years too! It is scary and uncomfortable.

Keep pineapple juice in the house, and papaya works too! These two juices break down the composition of the meat and always it to dissolve.

Take care,

Cheryl

I had this happen with chicken many times, not for a month now but I am sure I am not finished.  For me it feels just so horrible, like a heart attack. It is VERY scary.  It always ends in vomiting for me, and I have had water to help it either up or down.  So far it has always been up.

I agree that still (for me) eating too fast is the culprit.  I also appreciate the infrequent reminder that I had WLS and it helps get me back on track after I let my pouch rest for a day or so.
