Could you do bloodwork and weight check with primary care Doc and just send results over?

That's a great idea, Cynthia!  I already do the blood work with my primary care doctor and they fax it over so I don't see why she couldn't just report my weight to the surgeon's office, too.  The only other thing they do in Omaha is take my picture, but I'd be glad to send them a picture, too.  It seems like such a waste of time, gas and energy to drive 3 hours there and 3 hours back home for a 5 minute appointment.  Thanks for the suggestion!

Morning everyone!

qotd: I'm a pretty good sleeper, and generally, stress keeps me in bed, rather than what you are going through. But in terms of not feeling like myself, I do try to practice mindfulness, to figure out what's truly causing it. Then I look at what's in my control, and what isn't. Easier said than done, but I try to let go what's out of my control, and focus on what I can have an influence on.

And as others said, the importance of self care cannot be overstated. Eating healthy, getting exercise and in my case, also getting out of the city on the regular, have become key to my wellbeing. And in times of stress or difficulty, it's so easy to drop the ball.

Hope you feel better soon!

Good morning, gorgeous people! Oh Daze...that sucks. But given everything you've been dealing with it's not surprising. For me, feeling better depends on what the stressor is. I find that I most often get stressed when I'm avoiding something and it's weighing on me. Facing it sucks in the moment, but it's usually the best way to get me to start feeling better.

I certainly can't complain about sleep for myself. I had the laziest day yesterday! I napped and snoozed and rested and napped some more. And then finally went to bed at 8. Best. Day. Ever. I'm on the train back to work right now, and feeling pretty pumped to tackle some more looming big projects since school is on vaca this week. I love this feeling--rested and ready! :)
