Thanks so much, everyone!  I had a good trip to the surgeon and he was pleased with my progress.  My labs all came out very well.  I don't have to go bac****il another 6 months.  I appreciate all the support and well wishes!

Morning! It's a holiday here too, Family Day. My husband has to work, but my sister is hosting us all this afternoon.

Qotd: I know I harp on this a lot, but it's my energy level. When I was self employed, I worked a lot of crazy long hours on my feet (15-16 hours weren't uncommon) and I was absolutely broken at the end of the day. I remember being at events, and seeing other vendors who looked so put together, and talking about what they were doing after the show. It blew my mind! It took everything I had just to shower and get there, then couldn't wait to get home to go to bed. It never really occurred to me that my weight was the main reason.

It was also a viscous cycle, because I neglected every other aspect of my life, I gained something like another 45ish pounds over those years. No exercise, eating fast food in my car, etc.

Menu

B: protein shake

L: either tuna or egg salad with some peppers

D: pulled pork and coleslaw (my brother in law makes a lower sugar type sauce, and I'm making the coleslaw, so I'm good carb wise)

S: whichever I don't have for lunch

have a great day everyone!

When I did weigh****chers once before WLS I did notice that huge energy jump. Even people around me noticed. I can't say I saw it again after WLS (and I was looking for it). Maybe it never left me- cause despite being SMO I would never have described myself as being exhausted all the time.

Good Morning all. Weekend was awesome here as well. It is so nice to be outside after being either locked up inside from the cold or just suffering with it when I am out in it. I know it won't last since it's still only February, but I'll take every beautiful day I can get!

QOTD: had me thinking of one really Odd thing I noticed and never thought of pre WLS. When I was driving in my car after I had lost my weight, I sat lower in my seat. I am a short person to begin with but I remember thinking, "why do I feel like I need to raise my seat up anymore". Then it dawned on me, my butt was not only smaller in width but in all ways so without so much "cushion" under me I was sitting lower! haha

Yesterday menu looked like this: B: hunters sausage L: GF lean bunless burgers D: Michigan turkey salad S: 2 Girl Scout cookies-yes right out of the freezer!! But at least only 2!

You know... you just made me realize something... I keep thinking my chair is breaking at work because I can't get it to sit up as high as it used to be...

Dang... maybe that's my problem...

Good Morning!

Thanks for starting the thread! I too used to think high heels were torture devices, now they are much more comfortable and I wear them pretty regularly. I also can't believe how much more I like wearing dresses and skirts.

Another good weekend - the whether was just about perfect! Got my entire to-do list done and made it on two walks with the dog, and to the gym. My husband surprised me with another glass blowing class, it was a lot of fun. This year we made heart shaped paperweights. I'm not a creative person at all, but I really do enjoy these classes.

B: Hardboiled Egg & Babybel Cheese
S: Deli Corned Beef & Provolone
L: Turkey Taco Salad
S: Pepperoni & Mozzarella Cheese
D: Ricotta Bake w/ Ground Italian Sausage & Cottage Cheese
S: Beef Jerky & Cheese Stick

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good Morning Peach!  Thanks for starting us off.  I had a great weekend!  I feel like the change in weather really gave me a big boost to my mood.  Saturday I was able to sneak in and see my Doctor for a refill on meds that I desperately needed before he took off for vacation. We did a family walk to the park with the kids and the puppy and just spent a really nice day that ended with my hubby grilling us some burgers.  It actually got up to 69 degrees here in Metro Detroit, in mid-February, which is crazy.

Sunday I went grocery shopping in the morning and then we went to puppy training class early afternoon.  I learned a serious lesson about puppy training.  Do not feed the puppy right before class.  Bugsy wasn't even interested in the chicken that the trainer was using.  It was insane.  So next week I'm not feeding him on Sunday morning until after class.  She wants him starving when he comes so he will focus to get the treats.

QOTD:  Well, I kinda already knew the reasons I was having lots of problems with things like that.  I knew it was from my weight and I hated it.  I couldn't shave my own legs (not like I do it much now, either, but at least I CAN).  It got to the point where it actually physically hurt to try to wipe by own butt.  I had gotten so big around the middle that I had to really stretch and reach to clean myself, and the muscles in my sides and ribs would cramp up while I was doing it.  I HATED it, and I'm so thankful that I can keep myself clean without excruciating pain.

18+ months since surgery

B: breakfast scramble from the deli downstairs.  I prepped a bunch of egg cups yesterday and I was planning on bringing the whole dozen in and leaving them in the fridge here at work so I could share with my co-worker Phillip, but I had to leave my house at 6am and totally ran out without them.  So, I'm treating him to breakfast today.

L: 6oz of chicken breast with marinara and shredded cheese.

D: Unknown, I don't have a plan just yet, but I'll be cooking somethng.  If not I'm going to eat the chicken breast that it in my fridge cooked already.

S: Light and Fit Greek yogurt.  MAYBE.  I brought it to work, but I haven't been eating them lately at all. We'll see.

Not sure on the totals just yet, but I'll get everything punched in and update in a bit.  I gotta run down and pick up our breakfast now.

Have a great day everyone!

I remember as I hit my highest weight just before surgery that going to the bathroom was getting ugly... from having to pull my pants all the way to the ground to be able to even wipe (OK, is this TMI??!), to even comfortably fitting into some stalls in public! Geesh!

I had already blocked that from my mind... I'm sure I've blocked more...

I actually had myself CONVINCED that restaurants had made their booths tighter to fit more tables in... Not that I had gotten so heavy that it was ME!
