What's on your Monday Menu RNY'ers?
so I know Daisy is off today and wouldn't be posting; I'm off too but my internal clock doesn't know that. I've had a ? I've been wanting to ask anyway. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Weather here was nice (mid- 60's) but I still felt a chill from the breeze. Today I'm heading to the mall with my ever growing kids for new sneakers and jeans. Debating if I'll sneak in an extra run- or just do my at home routine.
Qotd: so after losing weight I've have a few 'oh it was because I was fat' realizations that didn't dawn on me until being at a lower weight. Few examples: I hated shopping for handbags cause they'd never sit on my shoulder. Duh-- it's because I was over 300# and designers weren't planning for my giant arm/shoulders to fit their bag designs. Same with heels- thought they were instruments of torture... I realize now it was just not practical for this SMO girl to wear them comfortably. Or, when I took my son to his piano lesson I'd have to enter the door way there sideways-- I wondered why this door frame was so particularly small-- again...duh.. it was because I was SMO. There were aspects of my life that I genuinely didn't realize were difficult/complicated only due to my weight. So I what was your realization?

Good Morning Peach and Menu Family!
Thank you for starting us off, Peach!
I'm up early because I have to drive 3 hours to go see my surgeon for my one year Surgiversary check-up today! Then a 3-hour drive back home. I hope my surgeon is pleased with my progress and that my labs turned out well. But I sure dread all that driving.
QOTD: My "achy back", "bad knees", "sore feet", etc are mostly GONE now that I'm 100 lbs. lighter! I thought they were due to arthritis (and they were), but they were greatly exacerbated by my weight! Also when I walked anywhere I was always out of breath. Now I can power walk and I'm not huffing and puffing anymore!
B: bacon & spinach egg frittata
L: I'll be traveling so I'll probably stop somewhere and get a salad with chicken in it.
D: chili cheese dog
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese
Exercise: Walking my dog around the subdivision
Have a great day everyone!
