Hi everyone,
JB, that is great news about joining the gym and committing to the 1/2 marathon! You will do great! I do belong the YMCA but I haven't been going to the pool on a consistent basis due to the pain in my knees. I need to work through it and get my ass there!
I made Crack Chicken today. I used 1/3 reduced fat cream cheese instead of regular and reduced fat shredded cheese instead of regular in addition I cut the corn starch in 1/2. I did have plain Greek yogurt to make cream cheese but no cheese cloth. I made it in the crock pot so I used 3/4 C of no sodium chicken stock and a layer of sliced onions and crushed garlic in the bottom of the crock then I rested the chicken on the bed of onions so it wasn't sitting in the stock. It came out awesome! Thank you everyone for the recipe and tips on making in the crock pot!
The scale didn't move today but at least it didn't go up.
QOTD: I(me & my wife) actually had good cry last night. My black lab is almost 12 years old and her health has been declining for the past 2 years with very serious arthritis and a pulled ligament in her front shoulder from the really bad winter we had a few years back. Then last year she hurt a ligament in her back leg from a real bad snow storm. she is on an anti-inflammatory med that helps her. You just can't keep these labs down with all of their energy as you know. Last night we found a good size tumor on her neck under her collar when me and my wife went to give her a bath. We made the very tough decision that if the tumor is not just a fatty tumor or benign that we would not make he suffer with the surgery and treatments. All we want is for her is to be comfortable. No matter how much pain she's in she is just so happy and always wants to play even though she can hardly walk and most times it's on 3 legs. I usually will play with her while she is laying down but on occasion I will make super happy and throw her toy a few feet so she can fetch it. It's killing me just to write this but I know you get this on same level as me since you have the 2 beautiful labs and I've had them most of my life. Here's a few pics of her. the 1st pic os of my niece laying with her at Christmas time.
