Good morning! Today we are heading out to BJ's to pick up some things to bring down to our daughter next weekend and I think I am getting new laptop! On Valentines Day my husband and I had a fun email conversation about sending me flowers because all of my female co-workers received flowers and I did not. For the record he would have sent them but he knows I hate flowers and his was response was that he would love to buy me flowers, jewelry or a car but buying things like that never ends well with him.  So he said you need a new laptop yours is three years old time for a new one, who am I to argue with and IT guy?

QOTD:  That would be Friday... I had a good long cry walking to my moms grave.  They close the cemetery up in the winter so you have to walk in and it was a good half mile each way through the snow but it was a beautiful sunny day.  I was saying to my dad she knew my brother was going to visit her because the weather was nice if it was just me she would have made sure we got a blizzard... My brother could do no wrong with our mom.

Food for the day:

B: Coffee a hard boiled egg white 2 slices of bacon

L: We are going to Red Robin so I am getting a burger with one of there lettuce buns

D: The rest of my lunch

Happy Sunday my friends!!

Qotd: I cry at movies, I'm a sucker for a good drama. Have you seen the show "This is us"? That one gets me good ALL THE TIME!! Goodness I love that show. The last time my life made me sob was when my 4th grandson was born about 15 months ago. My daughters (now ex) boyfriend and his mom are just toxic people. When Henry came home from the hospital, their behavior made me feel unwelcome and unwanted in my daughter's home. I asked my hubby to take me to Costco to get them some freezer supplies, as I intended to stock them up, prep, and pre-cook freezer meals for the next 2 months. New babies are hard enough without worrying about shopping and cooking. Well, on the drive I asked him if I was being too sensitive. I pointed out the things they'd said and done that hurt my feelings. He was in complete agreement, they were ******** and I was right to feel hurt, and now he was angry. Well, needless to say, I broke down into a puddle of tears in the car. It was an awful feeling. I'm so happy she's no longer in that situation and my grandsons don't have to grow up in a home like that.

Today I'll be winging it. I'm driving an hour to my sister's house and we're going to work on the cabinets and flooring. I'm pretty sure I'll eat something I shouldn't but I'll make the best of what I have available. I'll be bringing premier shakes and quest bars to at least meet protein requirements.

Happy Sunday!

I've been intending to see Lion since I saw a review several weeks ago and haven't made it yet - maybe this week!!

Himalayan salt plate?  I just googled it.  Let us know if it makes a difference.  Might be the new "must have" kitchen thing...

QOTD:  I don't remember, but it almost certainly had to do with my father (who's in hospice).  I know I did at least a couple of times back in October when I was there (he lives in NC).  I don't remember if I've cried since, but if so, it probably had something to do with his situation.

20 months out:

B:  homemade plain Greek yogurt, NSA blueberry sauce

S:  coffee with half & half, SF protein/fiber pumpkin chai tea latte

L:  actually brunch - we're going with a neighbor.  Not sure where we're going yet, so I don't know my options - but something protein-forward

D:  grilled salmon, either Brussels sprouts or cole slaw made with sesame-miso dressing

maybe a L&F Greek yogurt later (I need to really reign it in today because I went over my calorie allotment yesterday by about 100 calories - I don't want to make that a habit!!)

exercise:  Aqua Zumba!

Can I say so am afraid of running? I think my joints are too old... but I would actually love to be able to run, as it in some ways is the perfect exercise, all you need are a good pair of sneakers and you can go...

QOTD: My last full out ugly cry was during my Drama chronicles of last summer after Dr M had restitched me up after the crappy ER job and they reopened in 5 days... I remember being on the phone with him and he felt so bad, but there was nothing he could do...

I know I cried when my elderly aunt died in September, and got choked up just yesterday talking about her and my trip to Hawaii...I totally understand how she could go on vacation and choose to not come back. (She went on vacation there in the late 60's, got a job while on vacation...came back closed up life in NY and moved there for 35 years)

Jet Lag is kicking my butt and I am not getting back on track with my food because of it, alternating between grazing and picking because too tired to cook. Let's say my weight is beyond my 'oh crap' #... so say a prayer, send a good thought, or swing a chicken I get my act together over here.

BTW finally tried the sous vide eggs at Starbucks OMgoodness sooooo good.

B: Latte w/fairlife and miralax, protein drink- kefir and fuzzy navel

s: 2 hard boiled eggs

L: TJ roast turkey and LF jarlesburg

S: protein drink tbd

D: pot roast maybe?

S: ???

ex: 21 day fix. Getting back in the saddle even though I'm exhausted

QOTD: I don't remember exactly when, but I was in my car and the country song "You should be here" by Cole Swindell came on and I cried like a baby.  My mom passed almost 2 years ago and some songs just make me think about and miss her terribly.  Not that I don't miss her terribly anyway, we were always really close.
