What's on your Saturday menu, RNYers?

Good morning everyone!
I'm also in the 'don't know exactly what my menu will look like today' camp. I've got bits of it sorted out but our plan for this afternoon is to drive about an hour from home for a pool tournament/steak bbq that some people my BF knows are hosting. Neither of us has any interest in playing pool (especially not in front of people) but we could both use a little time out being social and he's pretty excited about steak and beer.
QOTD Fortunately my good mood has held on for the weekend and part of that is from a bunch of NSVs that I've been having but the main influence had been some positive news with the job search. I was at my last job for so long that the whole process is foreign to me and I didn't realize it can take sooo long!! On Wednesday a really exciting opportunity presented itself at a place where I would love to work that rarely hires . It wouldn't be great money but the work itself would be challenging and rewarding at the same time and give me the opportunity to really help people. I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic but it's been on my mind since I first heard of it. Then yesterday I was contacted about another job and I have an interview for that on Tuesday.
B- coffee w/sf hazelnut
L- pork tenderloin
D- steak I imagine...
S- protein shake, turkey slices with dijon mustard
Have a great weekend everyone!
Christine

great news on the job front! I know job searches can be grueling - I was on one for several months several years ago, and my husband is facing month eight of his. It's so, so easy to get depressed over it. But something always comes along, and it's a really good sign that you're getting interviews. Something will pan out - hopefully it's one that you really want to boot!!

I appreciate hearing that, it is hard to not let it get to you and I admit I have let it get the better of me a few times. It can be overwhelming to apply to something and read "225 people have already applied to this post"... no joke. Historically I haven't been a big fan of change, although in the last few years I have experienced a lot of it and it's never as scary as I make it out to be in my head. Lots of changes happening around here these days and I'm finally getting excited about what might be in store for me this year.
Good luck to your husband on his search as well. He's fortunate to have your support and understanding.

Yes the thought of options is very exciting, especially considering how different they are.
