What type of revision are you talking about ?

Band to RNY?

Sleeve to RNY?

Revision of a RNY that has ulcers or compromised stoma?

Revision of RNY that has stretched?

A revision means that you have already had one type of WLS and for some reason it didn't work and are getting a different type of procedure done, now. Either you had medical complications that resulted from your original surgery, or you manage to gain a lot of weight back putting you back in the MO category.

Not sure about the specifics of Ontario, but generally, insurance will cover it if it medically necessary, although there tend to be more hoops to jump through.

My sister had revision from band to RNY.  She had it done at St.Josephs hospital in Hamilton. Her doctor was Dr. Chong I believe
