What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Happy Friday everyone! Wheee! Weekend!! Guy will be home!!!! I couldn't sleep for crap last night and though I find him charming when he is awake I really just am looking forward to sleeping with his snoring to keep me lulled.
Today I go pick up one of my college kiddos for a weekend visit. I am excited to see her. She has not been home in several weeks so it will be great. Saturday will be hanging out at the laundry mat because now my washer is broken... apparently it got jealous of the fridge getting all the attention a few weeks ago and has decided it wants a turn. Will make a fresh batch of yogurt to prep for the week ahead.
Saturday evening my Guy and I will drive to San Antonio in the evening for an event there. Volunteering as an excuse to hang out and enjoy seeing our friends.
Sunday morning time with kiddos and then D&D. Our adventure party is currently facing down a vampiric dragon and when last we left the party was looking at a pretty hopeless battle ahead. My wacky half-orc berserker grappled the dragon and bit it. So far...it is not going well.
Overall, I am hoping it will be delightful.
PHOTO FRIDAY: I am so glad I didn't have anything too crazy on there! We went last night to my son's opening night performance of the community theater play he is Stage Manager for and I snapped a selfie. The play was uber depressing and wonderful. It is called "Rabbit Hole" and it is a very moving drama about a family whose 4 year old son was killed in an accident. They did a great job and I cried several times. So proud of my son!
Menu: B: Greek yogurt/granola/grapes/blueberries; L: Left over shrimp with pico de gallo, avocado, and ****tail sauce; D: Not sure but thinking I am going to make something chicken based in the Instant Pot (Chicken Crack? or maybe something new from this list of suggestions)
Accountability: All good on weight 130.0 this morning (normal variation); did good on eating clean yesterday, only ate my planned evening snack. Smoking is definitely reducing and I am up to the half dose level of the Chantix now. I had some weird dreams last night but not vivid and terrifying yet.
Have a great weekend!

Good morning and happy Friday of a long weekend. Although I'll most likely work on Monday, I like having the option of knowing I don't HAVE to go in to the office! With that said, I don't have a lot going on. Nothing tonight, except loading the Ark, since we're going to have an amazing amount of rain today. . . we're expecting in one day what we normally get in a month! Tomorrow will be a run (if I don't get rained out) and circuit class then the UCLA Basketball game tomorrow night. The rest of the weekend my plans are up in the air. On Monday I'm trying to arrange a meet up with one of my surgeon's other revision patients. She was invaluable to me prior to my surgery and, although we talk a lot, we've never actually met face to face. Hoping to make that happen. Other than that, just my typical errands. I'm sure there will be a Target run in there.
Photo Friday: This is the last picture on my cell. My office is exceptionally casual. I mean, you can basically get away with anything here, except maybe a bathrobe (and if it's fashionable, they'd likely turn the other way). With that said, my typical work outfit is jeans and a sweater. On days when I wear something else, there's a partner here who doesn't miss the opportunity to comment. At the firm's holiday party "You're in a dress, were your jeans dirty?" Last week I wore a skirt and sweater "Jeans dirty? Who are you trying to impress?" So, I thought I'd try a jean dress to see if I got a comment. Much to my disappointment, no comment. But I like the dress, so a win all around.
My plan:
B: Egg bites from Starbucks (I'm sad to say I'm addicted. I dream about the bell pepper egg bites)
S: Skinny latte
L: 1.8 oz of carne asada
S: 1 oz carne asada
S: either light and fit or ham steak cubes (1 oz)
D: The great unknown again. I didn't take anything out of the freezer, so I'm going to have to bring something in. Any suggestions?

Love that dress!
My office is the opposite. Your dress code is bananas. No jeans. Ever. And that is just the start of it...

Good morning from sadly saturated CA. It's still pouring and supposed to rain through next Wednesday :(
Saturday we are doing the usual plus dryer shopping, ours died last weekend which sucked as I had 2 loads of wet clothes... We were hoping to find a good used one but we decided to look around as see what is out there first. Saturday night we are going out for burgers and bowling. I'm looking forward to see if my lane moves have improved after losing 50+ pounds! Sunday we will do stuff around the house and lay low. Monday is a holiday for me and I will be spending it with DS and visiting my folks.
