Post op skin issues

Did/does anyone else have skin issues post-op?! I'm going crazy with the issues that I've had the last month. I'm just over two months out and my skin is drier than it has ever been and my cheeks have this tiny ra**** all started about a month after my surgery and everything I've tried just doesn't seem to be making a difference. I suspect I'm either not getting enough healthy oils to keep my body happy or my body is reacting to something in my protein shakes and powders. So I'm left with two questions:

1) Can we take fish oil or flax oil supplements? Does it mess up the calorie count for the day if we do? If we can does it matter if it's in a softgel?... ok, so it's technically a 3 part question haha

2) Is there a good protein powder out there that is lactose, whey, fake sugar, low calorie and low carb?

My work revolves around skincare and so my skin has to look good, I'm stressing out big time about this issue (which is not helping my case hahaha)

You can actually buy LIQUID fish oil.  Doesn't taste fishy at all.  I use Coromega omega 3- tastes like orange juice.

The skin issues for me were taken care of by exfoliating.  Your skins sheds millions of dead cells every day.  With rapid weight loss, it just cannot keep up and a layer of dead cells accumulates.  You might be amazed how much difference exfoliating will make.

Adding lotion without exfoliating makes it worse.

Oh, I hear you for sure. Skin care has been my career for over ten years so I definitely know the importance. That's why I'm so frustrated. It has to be a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. I'm just gonna have to suck it up and go to an allergy specialist :-/

Also hydrating from within is important, how is your water intake??

Water intake is good! I always meet my minimum if not more :)

I had really dry skin until I was able to add some healthy fat, such as avocado, back in.

Investing in good quality shower water filter, plus good quality shower gell of soap (no SLS, no harsh chemicals) improved my skin dryness by app 80-90%. I can really feel the difference when I travel. My skin gets flavky and white...When I travel I need lotion. At home - I don't.

The shampoo I use I also make sure is as natural (but cleaning well) as I can get. My Partner was very sceptical. But once he started using my brands - he switched completely within 2 years. And since we do have separate bathrooms - he have a choice to get what he wants.

Kiss my face brand is very nice, and relative not that expensive.
