My old Lincoln doesn't go out in the snow.

I hate  driving on snow and ice. Fortunately I live in a place where good windshield wipers are the most important car accessory.

Lovely picture of you two. It's nice that you can get together occasionally.

QOTD: It's funny you mention this because this morning while soaking in my bath I was thinking about this. As I have mentioned in the past, my brother is considering WLS and received blessings from his PCP. My brother is not an internet person so I don't think he will come here but I am going to try like hell to convince him to at least lurk and search. There is way to much to explain to someone and a lot of this becomes second nature to us so we don't remember to pass it on. I will do my best to coach him but without OH how do you convince someone that their NUT is wrong hahaha.

B - Coffee with creamer

L1 - Beef rib

L2 - grilled chicken breast

S - Cheese

D - No clue but protein for sure

S - yogurt

I just want to add that I got iron patches from patch MD and after a week I feel better. I was having some light symptoms and when I looked them up on line it seemed to go along with low iron. All my Surgeon & NUT told me I needed was a multi vitamin and that is wrong. I take a woman's multi, calcium chews, B-12 dissolvable and now the iron patch. I should be getting blood work done soon.

Mm, love Greek food...

Im blessed here in that my clinic gives lots of good info. The nutritionist I see is very much for low carb, to the point that he told me to quit putting a splash of light cranberry juice in my water because of the carbs, lol. I don't know if they are all that strict because he said something that sounded like he was more anti-carb than the others there...but that's fine with me! But, OH keeps me working on the mental stuff. I need to discuss stuff "out loud" and my family, though supportive, just hasn't done this. I totally underestimated the head stuff, and I still don't know what to do with it because I don't understand my why yet. I don't really see myself as an emotional eater at all! But I definitely compulsively eat. Anyway.

Breakfast- it's 10:30 and I haven't eaten yet. I have had weird bursts of Eat AllThe Things in the middle of the day and little appetite in the morning or evening. So I'm experimenting today with waiting until I am really hungry to start eating, kind of freeing up calories for when I really want them, if that makes sense? But I have some eggs with salsa on the menu.

Lunch- turkey slices with homemade guac...need to use up these avocados.

Snack- hot tea, half a protein bar. Chobani yogurt, somewhere in the day.

Dinner- white chicken chili. Family will have cheese quesadillas with, I will put my cheese on top of the chili.

Cinnamon on cantaloupe?  What is this madness?!?! That sounds tasty. I might need to try it out. Thanks for the idea. You two look adorable.  So jelly that you got to meet up.  I am still looking forward to finding an excuse to get together with your all.  I think we should have a camp out or something.  Karen can bring the RV and we can make it party central. Pam and I are going to meet up soon but I want to see all your faces! I still am voting for a JB/Grim wedding excuse to get together.  Just sayin' I mean...you don't have to actually get married if you don't want to but couldn't you just throw a wedding like party? Think of our needs??

QOTD: I think the above sort of answers this.  I know I would not have been this successful without the advise and support of you all.  Researching online gives conflicting information at best.  Really getting to know people who are going through the same process... that is what has helped me more than I can say. The accountability is huge for me. I am a social animal and I need to have people I can share with who will call me to the carpet if I stray. Whenever I meet anyone who is going to have WLS or considering it I send them here.

Menu: B: The Usual (Homemade Greek yogurt, homemade granola, grapes and blueberries); L: Reheated frozen meaty ricotta bake; D: Egg cups (I think...going to try to make these for the first time) ES: Chobani Crunch Simply 100

Totals: Cal 937; Protein 73; Carbs 59; Fat 72

Accountability: Didn't weigh this morning.  Weird!  I was rushing because I ended up staying the night in the city with my Guy.  Raced home to get my son to school and was in a tizzy. Smoking is still happening but much less frequently.  Tonight is the first night that I will be taking the evening dose so wish me luck on the dreams.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

~Elizabeth

Edited to add totals because darn it I need to be tracking!  No excuses.
