I have got to get better with planning out my daily food. Some of your menus sound divine!!!
QOTD: You know, I come here with all of my questions and for help when I am struggling. Sometimes I'm nervous that the questions I am about to submit has been asked a million times before and people are going to get annoyed with answering it again, but that has never been the case. Its nice to have this board to come to! I haven't technically made any 'friends' yet, but fingers crossed!!!

Good morning you beautiful people! I'm so jealous of the OH meetups. I've had a few myself, but I always want to meet everyone, so I will still be jealous! You both look fabulous! And one of these days I'll get to meet you two. I did some talking last fall about maybe planning an unofficial OH meetup sometime later this year here in the midwest, since the OH conference is out in California again this year and I can't go.
My hubby got home last night at about 9:30pm and he is sick as a dog. That poor man, I swear. He ended up sleeping on the couch for most of the night because it hurt him to lay in bed. He was so sweet though and is taking care of Kal this morning so I could get to work early. I have a ton of work to do, I have a big meeting with our client this afternoon, and then I have to go to a funeral this evening after my meeting. A good friend that I've known for 20+ years lost her mother this week. She was only 61 and died unexpectedly of pneumonia, so this evening is not going to be fun at all. I was out of my house at 6:15 and here at work at 7. I've got some problems with my data, so instead of going to the meeting on site at the clients office, I'm just going to call in from my desk and then take off as soon as it's over for the funeral.
Edited because I jumped the gun and clicked post before I was done:
QOTD: This is my place for support. I have said it over and over that I would be lost without OH and all of you guys. I can't even imagine where I would be if I hadn't found this place before surgery. The NUT at my surgeons office also encourages carbs, and I believe that canned ravioli was suggested as a soft food early out. Yep.
18+ Months since surgery
B: egg cup with ham, onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese. coffee with sf coffeemate
L: Ham? I just grabbed a bag of diced ham from the fridge and threw it in my bag so I could eat something protein forward.
D: More ham. I have more than enough for 2 meals and with the funeral home tonight I'm going to probably be eating on the drive. The funeral home is half an hour from my work and 1.5 hours from home. I won't be home until late tonight.
S: I brought 2 light and fit greek yogurts. I may or may not eat them. Not feeling hungry today
totals:
Not really sure, it all seems like it will be pretty low in calories but I haven't had a chance to stick it in MFP yet.
Have a good day everyone.
Edited one more time to add totals that include 6oz of ham for lunch and 6oz for dinner as well as 2 light and fit greek yogurt snacks.
Calories 706 Protein 107 Carbs 26 Fat 21
My sodium is through the roof today. My weight was up to 160.4 this morning, trying to get back down under 160, but I don't think that the ham is going to be conducive that that, lol.
an OH meetup in the Midwest? I am so there! I'd be glad to help you plan something. We'd have to come up with some kind of central location. I'm in Wisconsin, so I originally thought Chicago, but that's probably too far west for some of us Midwesterners (we have some in Ohio, for example). Well, then there's Karen down near St Louis, and the other Karen in Nebraska. Maybe Indy? Although that's pretty far north & east for them. We'll have to give this some thought - or else have two Midwest meetups (the Midwest is a big place!!). But I'd love to do this!!!
so sorry to hear about your friend's mother. 61 is way too young. Very sad.
There are quite a few of us in Michigan, Ohio and a few of the more southern states, and a bunch of people in New England as well. Maybe we should brainstorm and get some ideas of where we want to go. It would have to be unofficial, and I'd be afraid that we'd set something up and then noone would come, so I don't know if I want to put a ton of money or resources in.
I'd be willing to do Chicago, or maybe Indianapolis, to make it a little closer for those who are further east.
I'm going to set up a private group that we can start discussions in. It will be safer so we can monitor who is seeing the information. We've had some creepers here in the past and I'm unwilling to put all kinds of travel info out publicly without knowing who can see it.

The doctor that performed my surgery told me I was allowed to have Spaghettio's!
