Vitamin Patches
I did it! FINALLLLLY ordered my patches - multi vit, calcium/d3 and iron.. Was almost going to order the B12 but I noticed that the multi already has that in it. Does anyone have any input on having or not having the B12 patch? Also, what does everyone think of the Omega-3 patch? Since surgery, my skin has be SO DRY. I suspect that it has to do with the lack of healthy oils/fats in my diet but I'm trying so hard to be good and eat only protein and just a little veggie when I can. I don't want the extra calories hahaha. Any thoughts, y'all?
Thanks! Hope everyone is having an amazing day!
I asked the pharmacist for my bariatric team yesterday about patches and she told me that their research showed that there are issues with them too and that I should absolutely not use them for the first 12 - 18 months.
Of course every Doctor/ Bariatric team has different ideas about pretty much everything. Mine wants me to eat (as soon as I am eating food) a protein, a vegetable and a starch at every meal.
I don't know about the whole starch thing for every meal. I have been avoiding starches for 6 months now and am losing weight just fine. The carbs that I get are from the vegetables that I eat and I'm good with that.
I think that everyone needs to find what works best for them. Not all people are the same so what works for some may not work for all.
Just my 2 cents.

I ask various medical professionals from time-to-time what they think of supplement patches having yet to get nothing but a "proceed with caution" kind of vibe. It's doubtful I'll ever use patches because the orange-flavored chewable multivitamins, the cherry-flavored B12, and the caramel-flavored calcium chews are my "candy" for the day--sadfully so to admit but the truth.
