What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Happy Wednesday gang! Half way to the weekend...wheee! Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. My Guy came home and stayed the night even though that requires that he wakes up super early to drive back to the city. This made me a happy girl! I got a great night's sleep finally, in fact, I overslept this morning because I was so soundly sleeping. Now I feel really good today....sleep is good stuff! Highly recommend.
QOTD: It is so cold here today compared to last week. It is crazy. I never know what to wear for the day until I check the weather. This is Texas though and we are pretty used to wild weather changes. We have a saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute."
Menu: B: 1/2 cup Homemade Greek yogurt, 1/3 cup no sugar added granola; L: Meaty ricotta bake; S: Grapes and blueberries; D: 1/4 lb brisket and 1 cup cole slaw (will be in the city visiting my Guy and we will get our favorite BBQ most likely) ES: Chobani Simply 100 Crunch
Accountability: Weighed 122.6 this morning. All good. Steady is nice for a change. I feel like I must be leveling out here. My calories were pretty crazy yesterday. I made a carb error in judgement. I made a pot roast for my Guy for Valentine's Day. It came out awesome and that was all good. However, since it was a special occasion I made him Parker House Rolls with it. Well...I had three of the little bad boys....36g carbs. WHHHAA! About an hour later I got super shaky and sweaty. I think it was reactive hypoglycemia from all the carbs in the bread. I laid down and ate my Chobani with a banana to get my sugar leveled out. Still felt pretty shaky so my Guy brought me "something to help"... Ritz crackers. I swear my pantry is breeding and raising the damn things! Where did crackers come from?!?!?! (Turns out my husband got them when he was at the store last week...his defense...I thought you only liked Triskets so I thought those would be ok). Full confession...I ate half a sleeve of them and felt better but yeah...that's a ton of calories. Lesson learned...say no to the rolls. Also...cleaned the pantry out of the ninja Ritz crackers this morning by tossing them in the garbage. Long story short...stats for yesterday.... Calories: 1772; Carbs: 177; Protein: 94; Fat: 82. UUUHHHGGG! Today is a new day.
Chantix day three. It is still at a half of a half dose. Tomorrow it bumps up. Yesterday I only used my vapor stick thingy until about 2pm. Smoking is way down frequency wise already.
Hope you all have a great day. Also...say no to rolls.

I think the Parker House rolls are akin to Sister Shuberts, because both are delicious!
I used to get all shaky prior to surgery, and then I would need to eat a bag of chips, crackers, bread... CARBS... I didn't understand it at the time, but over the years I understood (didn't stop me from eating them all of the time)... I imagine if I get too bad in my eating the RH may show up... it's an awful feeling, and honestly, eating the crackers is what makes you feel best the fastest...
These are just the days that remind all of us that we need to beware of those nasty critters
Yay for cutting down already! That's so awesome! You'll be smoke free before you know it

Pooping and sleep. I get plenty of sleep, thank goodness. I now have a capful of Miralax every morning in my coffee, worked at first but now not so much. IDK whether to go to two capfuls or add senakot. And, must add more liquid. Have a great day everyone!
Hi Cheryl!
Hope all is well with you! I take metamucil every night (1 tsp mixed in a cup of cold watr) and it seems to work from me. Maybe you can give it a try? Hope you have a great day!

Mari! Hi there! Hope you are well too. I will get some Metamucil... have never needed it before but I am making a great effort to add more meat/fish to my diet so maybe that is it. Miralax is easy to add but boy, is it ever expensive!
