QOTD we have had the weirdest weather in Illinois this year. Hardly any snow or rain to the point creeks and lakes are way down and dramatic temperature swings. Last week it was over 70 one day and the very next morning it was 30 and there was a dusting of snow. I wi**** would make up its mind. First off,I'm proud of Deanna and anyone else of us who steered clear of the sweet treats that are the hallmark of Valentines day.  Great Job! Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in this morning even though the temp was only 28. Post op 4 years 5.5 months and weight at 118 today. Didn't do good with getting fluids in yesterday so that is the big goal for today. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz grilled lemon pepper trout 1/2 c sweet potatoes  (leftovers from Cracker Barrel last night) D 31/2 oz baked chicken thigh 1/2 c asparagus S mission one chocolate brownie protein bar.  Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices that move you one step closer to your goal!  You can do this.

Good morning.

Loving mother nature this year, sorry.  We have 60's and 50's forecast for next week and we are crazy levels below our normal snow totals for the winter.  I haven't had to put my ice shoes on once this year (we usually have to wear ice cleats to walk down our drive and street because the idiots who manage our complex don't believe in salt - they say it's an environment thing - BS, they are cheap).  And to followup on those who were rooting yesterday - yes, I did ask her out for Sunday (Botanic Gardens and Ruth's Chris - should be fun).

B Light and Fit yogurt and a tbs of nuts/granola

L 3.5 ounces of roast beef; Sargento reduced fat cheese stick

S Syntrax Lemon Tea shake; 1/2 quest bar made into eggface's cookies

D Costco frozen tortilla crusted Tilapia and a small salad

Good morning all!

Have a fun meet up with Daizy.

QOTD: I'm a lifelong New Englander. The "seasons" have changed since I was a kid, especially winter. I can remember sledding after school and weekends all winter long. My kids have had winters where their sleds came out only once or twice!!    I hope "we" haven't ruined our planet...

Good morning everyone!

I had a good time out shopping with my mom yesterday. We weren't gone for too long as her bf was home sick and part of our adventures were gathering medicine and food for him but we had some time to talk and my mental state needed that. The evenings Valentines plans were quiet but we enjoyed and there was no temptation to make a bad food choice.

QOTD I don't think I even know what a typical winter is here anymore. For years part of my job was snow removal and predicting a season or establishing trends? Good luck.

B- coffee w/sf hazelnut

L- shrimp w/sf ****tail sauce

D- porkloin, 2tbs guacamole

S- protein drink, turkey slices, turkey bite

Totals 524 cal, 79g protein, 7g carbs

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone! The sun is back out here, and I'm really hoping that means a MUCH better end to this very stressful week. Supposed to close on the home I've had listed for a friend - please let that happen... and then at this job, so many accidents that are OSHA recordable... and I'm the QHSE person that keeps up with the numbers... it's crushing to all of us in this department being that Safety really is the most important thing in our industry... add to that the beginning of the week with the hubs sick sick sick, the dog sick for the day... and, this girl is beat! BUT... I do have something 'unofficial' to share... the weight loss this week has been off the charts for me lately... and this morning I weighed in at an even 150.0. That puts me in the 'normal' BMI range, and just 5 little pounds to my original goal... I'm not making this official until tomorrow, because tomorrow is my 9 month surgiversary, and for some reason I need to wait until then to 'call' it  My brain at work... scary.

QOTD: I really don't like the cold. I was born just outside of Pittsburgh, but my parents moved me to Houston when I was 9. I consider Houston more my home in many ways... My adversity to cold definitely stems from there! I could be in a place that was 75-95F all year round. That being said... I agree that the global warming is messing with us... I mean, come on, we had almost 90 degrees on Saturday!!! WTH?

B: One of those little containers in the fridge... I think there is a chicken or turkey one in there

L: Another little container... I am doing NOTHING today to mess with the scale... I really need it to at the very least stay the same!

D: We are helping said friend get the staging furniture out of her moms house that will be closing on Friday (please, truly, swing a chicken), so we'll be down in Norman for this... I expect we'll go out to eat, but this girl will only eat meat and a few veggies if I can find good ones...

S: My morning , afternoon, and evening SF Lattes...

More water than I can imagine will pass these lips today too ;)
