Morning everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's not a big holiday for us, but we exchange cards, this year I got him some of his favourite chocolates, and he got me some kind of hemp heart snack, because heart hahaha .

Menu:

B: protein shake with powdered pb 

L: 1/2 cup of homemade tomato soup and shrimp cooked with Montreal steak spice (I'll portion 3oz, but usually can't eat it all). I've been craving tomato soup for ages, caved and made some last night. So fresh tasting! Need that this time of year!

D: tbd hubby has curling tonight, so I might be on my own. 

S: Skyr with bran buds

Your hubby does Curling? How did I not know This? My favorite event in the winter Olympics--that and figure skating.

I curl too! I mean, I'm terrible, but it's fun! I didn't sign up this year because I wasn't sure how I'd heal etc.

Maybe we'll have to have an OH Bonspiel some day! ;)

Good Morning & Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Anniversary to you and your husband. And thank you for your enthusiasm and support with this thread - it is truly wonderful and appreciated!

So my husband and I agreed no gifts, just cards. What does he tell me last night? He has arranged for a babysitter and made plans for Sunday afternoon. Won't tell me where we are going or what we will be doing, just to dress casual. Part of me is "that's romantic" and part of me is "we said no gifts jerk face". I didn't even buy him candy, because he said he didn't want any - he's trying to get in shape for the Tough Mudder - and I would be annoyed if he bought me candy knowing I don't want any. I did put potatoes in the crockpot with the roast for dinner tonight (I rarely buy/cook potatoes) - if that doesn't scream "love" I don't know what does... :)

L: Turkey Taco Salad
S: Salami & Cheddar Cheese

BACON!  Yes please.

Well, the Fella surprised me this morning with a little SCAVENGER HUNT to find a super extravagant Valentine's gift of an Apple Watch! Randomly last week I became obsessed with wanting one and he came through! Except he had told me over the weekend that he had NOT gotten it for me, so I believed him. He was SO excited that before 6am he was asking me if I wanted to open gifts. 

I did make him promise that he understands I don't now expect over the top gifts every VDay.

Anyway, the meeting I had last evening ended up running until 11pm! So from 6:30 to 10:30 I sat there listening to complete drivel and knitting until they finally got to my agenda item, which was T, ugh. Needless to say, I decided not to hit the gym at 6am, so I did an at home work out and will do my gym visit tomorrow.

Time since surgery: 2 years + 10 months

B: coffee and baked egg with turkey sausage

S: Siggi's

L: cottage cheese and an apple

S: nuts and string cheese

D: Easy Pork Curry with Apples - we'll see, it's a new recipe

S: a PB cookie or two, if the Fella will share that is

V/W: started

E: on track

Hmmm....I like tracking my fluid in take - is there an Apple Watch app for that?!

Clearly I'm not going to be doing any work today, I'm just going to play with my new toy.
