Good morning menu gang.  I had a great wekend.  I am so ready for Valentine's Day tomorrow.  We have reservations at a fancy restaurant and we are taking our kids.  They are excited and we even get the 20 year old for the night.  Kinda makes us feel good that the three of them have chosen to be with us instead of other places.

QOTD- I look like a lizard I am so dry.  My legs are horrible and my neck for some reason.  I am ready for summer.

Time since surgery 11 months 150.1 this morning.

B- Syntrax Protein shake

L- 2 oz Hamburger patty with Worchestire

D- 2 oz. BBQ Chicken

S- Not sure I will need it, small pouch day woohoo!!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hey all-

QOTD: My skin is natually dry so always have tons of lotion. I like all the pretty scented ones. I usually apply right after shower when skin is a bit damp because it sinks in better then.I usually have about 8 out at a time and mix them up.

quick one for me today. weekend was busy, ran errands after work friday (grocery, etc), then sat went into town for that chocolate candy class. No I didn't eat any during the class but will admit to eating the white choc covered marshmallow with sprinkles on top AND a pretzel rod with regular chocolate. I don't feel bad about it, it was yummy and I'm under goal weight so I allowed a rare special treat. Met up wit a friend and did a clothing swap with her. she was happy and so was I. Scored tons of WHBM and ann taylor/loft clothes. yay

Yesterday DH was feeling ill so stayed in, worked on gardening, made chicken gizard in IP, ate crack chicken for lunch, wings in IP for dinner with broiled kale and mushrooms. We are building our raised bed when we come back from our mini trip this weekend and getting our stuff planted!!

Food for today

gizzards/crack chicken/egg whites/coffee/miralax/kale/basically lots of leftovers

So... IP gizzards? Talk to me about this... I LOVE fried gizzards, but haven't had them in AGES... what are you doing to these gizzards in the IP? Are they chewy, or more tender?? Talk to me, woman, I need to know!

ok I just do 2 cups of water/steamer basket on top- then gizzards. Depends how I feel to how I season them. I knew I was going to be eating these with the chicken crack so I did a marinade of garlic/lemon, and I think some pub burger powder and Worcestershire sauce. Cooked them on manual for 7 minutes, then quick release. took the top off then let them cool a bit. another option is to crush up pork rinds OR quest chips and 'batter' them after the IP and broil in oven. But if you were going to do that, maybe reduce time in IP.

My store sells a big pack for $1.25? and sometimes reduces to .50 or $1 so I just do up 2 packs at a time and portion into 3 oz.

What the heck are gizzards? I'm from Massachusetts so I'm guessing they are not common in my part of the US?

It is kind of like a stomach/gallbladder organ found in birds, reptiles, etc. they are usually sold in the store next to chicken liver, chicken hearts. Generally they are fried up and eaten with gravy in the south. White or peppered sausage or brown mushroom gravy.

I do not like livers but grew up eating the gizzards. Hearts I'm not as fond of but they taste fine also and meat is yummy

Good morning everyone!

We live in Ottawa, Canada & we got a lot of snow.

1 foot in my driveway... Thank God for snow removal guy!

I spent the weekend packing for our March Break trip to Florida.    Yes... I am an organizational freak.  I am a widow with 3 sons, so I end up doing all the packing.  Toiletries, sun screen, swim suits, sandles, boxers, underwear, socks & my 10 year old'S clothing are ready to go in suit cases.  Not a last minute person... Lol

QOTD:  I am almost 6 weeks out & my skin is very dry & itchy.

I have been using Aveeno Lotion for dry skin.

Exercise:  Doing a drumming class tonight.

I had a bad & angry pouch day yesterday, so I am going back to Premiere Protein Shakes X 3, water & tea to give it a break.

Love the dogs Daisy

Hope everyone has an amazing day!

Take care

OMG They are so much fun!

Almost 6 weeks out and I have not been cleared to do core.

I am not sure if you know how they work, but you pile a bunch of risers and place a large exercise ball onto it.  It sits there beautifully.  You use real drum sticks.

The classes involves a lot of arms (obviously) and you bounce around like aerobics.

You drum on your drum and your neighbour's drum on either your left or right.  The type of drumming changes with  every song. You are always switching it up!

I don't jump or bounce. (had 3 tendons repaired in November)

I have to make a real effort not to use my core muscles.  I come out of the class feeling amazing...

I drum 4 X a week for now.

Take care
