What's on your Menu Today (Monday) RNYers?
Praying that your Chantix kicks in and you can kick those cigarettes to the curb. I've never smoked but have watched my mom struggle with trying to quit and never quite doing it. Hubby is a smoker too and quit two years ago for almost nine months. When he retired he started up again and is now cigarette and Chantix free for 3 months. So see--it can be done! I'm not commenting however on his mood or on how many times I've wanted to slap him. But I am so proud of him and know how tough it is. You are one strong lady though,E,and I know you've got this!
Thank you! With you all supporting me how can I lose, right?

Good luck quitting the smoking. I'll be interested in hearing how the Chantix works for you. DS keeps trying to quit but can't seem to sustain it for more than a couple of weeks.

Good morning!! Daisy - I love that you have a dog named Amy! I've never heard that before. Love Oliver too, they are adorable!!
So happy today is a holiday for me! BF has to work so I will be meeting DS for a hike and lunch out today at a sweet little café near the trail. It's supposed to be sunny today and tomorrow followed by rain for days and days, again....
QOTD - I was born with dry skin! I grew up in Massachusetts and I remember having severely chapped skin in the winter. We had oil fueled radiator heat which is super dry. We would hang these contraptions over the radiators that had water in them that would create steam/moisture but I was beyond help, No amount of cream gave me relief. It would hurt my skin to reach or bend. We moved to California when I was 17 and it's a whole different kind of dry here and year round. My skin is so sensitive that I can only use Aveeno skin relief body wash and lotions. I just discovered Aveeno calming moisturizer for my face and I love it, simply amazing.

oh, about fat - I can handle dairy fat, eggs and bacon even for some reason, but not fat on meat like steak, pork or chicken - even chicken skin - eww, they makes me so queasy. This is such a bummer, I used to love it.
